Lather it with JB Weld
Ha! Would, but I'll let the guys as the machine shop apply the extra strength JB weld
Lather it with JB Weld
That blows!
Might as well find an LS to throw in there while you are it and ready spend money
I feel you there! Being without a truck blows. I ended up buying another one for the time being.Would, but I already committed to new OEM heads at a pretty heavily discounted price.
Plus time wise, I'd like the truck to be running so I can at least enjoy part of this Summer. Truck wouldn't be running for another year if I did an LQ4 swap.

gonna be too nice to wheel.
Those welds a fugly.Good progress these last 2 days. Got all the fitment dialed on the cam tabs and coil tower reinforcements and everything is welded in now. Not the prettiest welds, but they'll hold.

Need to flat out some of the welds on the cam tabs to allow for full range of motion for my alignment guy, but other than that, I'm planning to box the factory motor mounts to hopefully give them a little bit more rigidity. Once that's all done, it's on to cleaning and prepping for paint.
Those welds a fugly.
Look better than some I just did tho...

That's why I keep friends that weld, it's just easier that way haha.
Yeah, the guy I know who can weld like a robot is an hour drive from me and only really does custom work. He's not a fan of premade stuff.
Fortunately I've got some fabricators who like me and when there's time we make things happen. Haha.
Very nice. I'd love to hone my welding skill again, but that requires my truck to not need constant work... most of which is self inflicted, but I digress.
I'd love to learn to weld, but that requires equipment and rewiring the house. It can wait a few more years when I have the time and money to do things right.
