Made some good progress today. Passenger side clears outside of a small spot on the inner fender. Didn't take as much work to make that happen though.

Chopped the bumper another 2 inches, trimmed 1.25 inches out of the fender, and did a little more massaging with the BFH on the inner fender. There's a very minor compromise to up travel, but I don't think I'm going to notice a 1/4 inch of travel. The fender cut doesn't look terrible either. Definitely a little big for 35s, but it's better than having those silly fender clip holes still in there with no fender flares.

Just need to knockout the driver side next weekend and then it's on to bump stops and limit straps.

Meh, fender flares are overrated and clips keep the mud out. Although these are kinda useless. Haha.

Yeah. I'm with you there at this point. They were cute for the truck in the beginning, but they're just in the way now.

My bigger issue that I need to deal with is keeping the water, dirt, and mud out of my doors. Tacos don't deal with as much side trim as the runners do.

This one photo makes me so happy. So stoked on the progress this past few days.

All the fab work is done. Still a few minor things to do, but that'll wait for another day. I need to a little more inner fender massaging on both sides, but I'll do that next weekend right before I rip everything out. Getting closer to getting her back on the ground. Can't wait to see how everything performs on the trail.

Hubba Hubba! Looking good! Plans for sealing up the inner fender/door gap? I need to do something with mine to keep the mud and gravel off the wire harness.

Well we're a little overdue for an update here. Took a little time off the truck, but she's fully torn down and getting primer and paint. The truck is almost ready to go back together. Won't be this weekend unfortunately since I'm going out of state for my brother's graduation. I will throw one more coat of paint on before I leave, but it's right back to it once I'm back in town.

I did get the coilovers put together this weekend. 18" springs might be a bit long on 8" short bodies, but it'll do for now until she's running again.

Well it's been a minute since I last posted about the truck. Unfortunately I caught Covid not long ago and that zapped everything out of me. Finally feeling back to normal now so the last few days it's been full steam ahead to get the truck back together.

As of now, the long travel install is done.

Still a few minor things to do before the front is completely done, but I'll order everything tonight for it. Next up is going to be the brakes so I can just have that done with before moving on to the rear suspension and axle swap.

In other news, my motor is at the machine shop and everything to rebuild it is on order as well. Super excited that parts were available for it and I don't have to hurry up and wait for parts to become available.

Started digging into the brakes today. Got the ABS unit, old brakes lines, and stock master and booster out. New T100 booster and 1 1/16" master cylinder are in, along with a few new brake lines. Going to have to modify one of the brake lines I have to work better for the driver front line, but I also have to make a few brake lines, but that'll be this weekends project.

Okay. Here's hopefully the last update on the whole front end before she's back on all 4. Got all the brake lines bend up and test fitted. Pretty happy with how these came out for never really working on brake lines before.

The line going from the master cylinder to the rear brakes could be a lot better if I'm being honest, but I think the fitting on the frame might leak since it might be bottoming out on threads. Going to be awhile until I know since I need to plumb the rear brakes first.

I also received motor mounts from Solid Offroad for the truck. My old motor mounts were basically ready to come apart, plus the passenger side one did split in 2 after I got the motor out.

And there is out current state of affairs. Still a lot of work to do, but I'm excited to move on from the front and get the Sequoia axle swapped in along with a few more goodies. Actually starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel as well since motor stuff is starting to arrive. I've got a few things I'm still waiting on, but hopefully soon I'll have everything and we can really get this party started.

Good time to do motor mounts while it's pulled.
