Went out to grab Friday fish fry last night (it’s a Wisconsin thing) and wife complained a bit about the extra altitude (although it’s still not as tall as my Ram was). Told her, “don’t worry, I’ll get some ‘steps’ on there for you pretty soon.”

sliders are great. just watch what materials are used. dom is the bees knees but not as common and pricey. it's all recycled chineeseium. there might be locals producing sliders.

as far as the step goes. my wife hates the sliders as steps because they sit right below the door sill. id suggest weld on over bolt on. less flex and shit rusting between two plates. you can always convert bolt on to weld. wish I would have done it right the first time.

edit: *cough* midtravel tacoma *cough*

Lol. My wife says she feels old getting in my 4runner. I tell her she has to do a little stretching warm-up to get in. She loves the ride though. Cough cough mid travel.

Regarding mid travel, I don’t know that I want to keep up with uniballs here in salt country, to be honest. But if I lived out west, different story maybe. Perhaps I’ll see what the limits of stock ball joints are first.

Tbh your setup prolly nets the same travel as mid travel but with zero maintenance. And zero flash. And zero flex on the peasants.

stock lcas are cool but that’s it. Now if you add secondary shocks and stuff some 3.0 kings in there...that’s an appropriate flex for sure.
