Got a set of Icon extended travel 2.5s used/rebuilt (by Icon) with CDCV reservoirs, 650# coils, PN 58716C. Haven't installed them yet.

How roadworthy are these to run without a front sway bar considering I wheel the rig only 20% of the time driving?

You'll be fine. I ran icons with 650s on my 4th gen without a sway bar.

As long as you aren’t going to auto cross the Runner you will be fine. A little softer ride than with SB and keep the cornering under 40. The cup holders will become worthless if you don’t.

With the adjustable CDCVs, is there a "preferred" setting for highway vs mountain driving vs trail?

There doesn't seem to be a practical manual or guide how to adjust these...

Never had clickers on any of my shocks.

Will it drive fine and safe? Sure. It'll just be a little more squishy around corners and such.
For my driving style I prefer having sway bars (especially the rear). I forgot to put my front back on last time I had things apart and it drives fine, just could be better with a sway bar back on their. I like to slam into corners in the desert and having the stiffer sway bar helps with that.

Never had clickers but my mountain bikes always had adjustable shocks. On smooth trails I would stiffen up the suspension on bumpier I would soften it up.

Softest for the road. Firmest for mobbing. Clickers are pretty mehhhh but it helps on the rear shocks when you’re loaded up for a trip.
