I wanna see all this desert prep....all I know is you drive over dirt to go camping. Maybe you misspelled it and meant dessert prep.

I can't tell if you're just fucking retarded or just fucking stupid and can't read.

Broken and fixing.

Steering rack is leaking like a siv. So that's getting replaced. Had to top up my fluid 3 times last trip out.

Rebuilding front bypasses. One down one to go.

To do:

Bypass hoops, tie rod ends, steering rack, control arms for bypasses, and alignment based on uppers then solid mount lowers.

Slacking pretty hard right now because my back was fucked up for awhile. Rebuilding the shocks is stoking my motivation though and I really need some dirt time.

The problem isn't that the rack is leaking. The problem comes when it stops leaking...

Yeah figured that out when my pump started making noise. Fluid was super low, hoping I didn't damage it. It's leaking too much to drive.

Didn't you replace your rack recently (like a year or so ago)? That sucks. Especially on these rigs where they are a major pain in the ass to replace.

It'll be 3 years old in like June. Gonna have the front end torn apart anyway for the control arms and hoops. Good time to do it while shits out of the way.

It seemed like not that long ago but you've actually had plenty of miles on it at this point then. Now is definitely a perfect time while its all torn apart.

I have an allpro front and trans skid if you want an upgrade. Front has one dent in it. Trans is brand new.

Don't think they mount the same. I have a steel rci skid in the garage somewhere that I just need to start running full time. It's got a dent in it from motino wash but it's in better shape than this aluminum one.

uh that's worse the the rzr we center punched on a rock going 65 in the hammers this week. And razors have a plastic under belly...

This skid has been tweaked for awhile. I had to shim it to keep it off the front diff. I always run the metal skid for rocks, but I think this aluminum one will make me more money at the recycling center at this point.

Getting closer to bypasses. LCAs are on but I won't have time this week to finish up. Need to cut the bump stops off the frame and relocate them, then get the hoops welded on.

Is the LCA geometry different with these than stockers that necessitate that they be moved? Reckon since you said hoops that this is a whole different animal when finished.

Geometry is the same but since there's two shocks running side by side the stock bump location gets in the way of the secondary once it's mounted up. The hoops just add a second top shock mount.
