I started to build it, then I broke it, so I had to upgrade it, so I could wheel it again, only to break it. It's a never ending vicious cycle and I've had nothing but a great time doing it.

Current build:

ADS 2.5 remote resi with 700 lb coils up front
ADS 2.5 remote resi rear
Total Chaos uniball upper control arms
Dobinson rear coils
Custom rear lower links
Metal tech rear upper links
Demello single hoop front
Custom rear with swing out
SCS SR8 Matte Jet Black wheels
315/75/16 KM2 tires
RCI Sliders
RCI Skids (front, mid, transfer, gas)
Prinsu full length roof rack
ARB Awning (for those overlanding days)
dual battery (because how else am I gonna keep my beer cold in the fridge)
Single 100w solar panel (gots to keep the beer cold damnit)
240A high output alternator
4.88 gearset
front/rear ARB air lockers
SwitchPro panel

Thanks man! It seems like everyone is buying king lately, he should have waited but I'm happy he didn't at the same time lol. ADS is going to be amazing though. I wish I could stay local and support them but way out of my budget range.

The Icons have been good to me, I was just ready for an upgrade because my wheeling has changed some. Helped that I got a large child support payment from my ex too. hahah. I'm waiting for her to make the next payment so I can buy some LCAs. :D

I love Icons. I ride and drive @05tacomabro truck and it's the smoothies best handling at speed and slow crawling. Lol I would say that's a good investment, are you moving towards long travel?

Doubt I'll ever go long travel honestly because I'm way too heavy with all the steel. 4runner goal was always to be a good multipurpose rig. Fast for desert season, crawling for mountain season, and whatever in between. I've got a 2006 Tacoma Prerunner that's stock right now, but once my son gets old enough to drive it's gonna be his to build and mine to drive when I want, hahah. At that point it's either LT or SAS for the Tacoma.

Mid travel! Long travel would be fun but I haven't encountered anything that my mid travel won't overcome. I like the fact that I have a truck with fairly stock geometry that still performs. Long travel is another beast that I just don't have the time or money for

Only other things I might wanna do to the 4runner is a secondary shocks or air bumps. I gotta see how the ADS handle the weight and get them valved accordingly first. We get like 6-8 months of desert season so there's gonna be plenty of high speed trips coming up soon.

I think you already said you're out, but we got the Cougar Buttes trip coming up at the end of the month if you wanna test out the new suspension in the rocks and high speed desert stuff.

Cougar Buttes Oct 26-28th

I don't even know if I'll have my shocks before that trip.

I'm running super bumps right now. Actually just put my rears on right before we went to Big Bear a couple weekends ago.
