I've been telling him, but he's adamant about having the money to do the SAS right.

because he is all about the gram. He has to be better than the overlanders who are putting 37's on their trucks so he had no choice but straight to 40's.

not like he is doing a whole lot of extra work anyways. If he wants to use all the up travel possible with a soild axle on 42's, then all this tubing had to be done.

This. Almost everything I'm doing would have to be done to some degree or another to SAS and fit big ass tires. Doesn't matter whether the big ass tires are on IFS or SAS they take up a shit load of room.

I'll probably end up with the same amount of travel as BigMike since his up travel is gimped pretty bad.

But mainly it's for the gram. Gotta get those sponsors drooling and lined up ready to throw cash at me.

I’ve heard they’re big pieces of shit that require a stupid amount of maintenance
Anything that gets abused hard will require a stupid amount of maintenance. Doesn't matter how new. The power-train might be a little more reliable but the rest of the vehicle is just gonna get beat to shit constantly.

I am doing it before summer and the electric aux fan. The ac is not very efficient at stoplights. Not enough air going through the condenser.

I put these in my rig. For the fan you need to convert it to a push fan. To do that you remove the fan blade and turn it around. Then you wire it backwards. That makes the motor turn in reverse and you now have a push fan. My temps never go over 190 wheeling if I remember to turn it on.

Well you could say I was probably overdue for body mount bushings.

Only done the front bumper bushings so far. Probably gained a 1/4" of clearance between the body and the bumper, so I'll have to adjust that now I suppose.
