if they reject it because of the bent mount, lop a foot of the other end off and mail it to me to make the reinforcement from?

Told the dude it was bent, he asked me if I hit a curb. Hahaha. I could probably cut it off and they wouldn't even notice.

hahha spoken like a true warrior, its blame the indian not the the arrow right.
so what would take your rig from capable to VERY Capable? (besides a new driver for those who have seen you wheel before lol)

Moved this over to my build thread so we don't muck up my trip report ;)

Crawl box is next on the list for me. Other than SAS there isn't much else I can do to make the rig more capable. LT maybe, but that's just not something I've cared too much about.

Maybe I'll have you run a prototype set for 2nd gen Tacoma/4th 5th gen 4runners

I'm listening.... My only problem with a LT front, is how to make sure the rear end can keep up in high speed stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'd run it if I had the money to blow but right now it's just not a priority.

I’m still up in the air about LT but I think I’m heading that way. I guess I’ll see what extended travel feel up front first

At this point I'll be happy if the ADS's can keep up with my weight. The Icons weren't too bad in Death Valley but I was far more loaded down than I normally am. I think the weight helped those rear coils do their job.

If you guys go LT you'll just dream of the simple times of what MT was like.
So besides uniball's how much more work/maintenance is LT than MT? I'm constantly replacing things and repairing things anyways, so will it really make that much of a difference?

If you are already wrenching a bunch, then it's the same. You'll still be wrenching. Just different areas that weren't an issue before.
I'm hoping it may actually end up being a little less wrenching since LT should take a little more abuse over stock parts. Doubt it'll work out that way, but it would be nice!!

Didn't get to paint last night because it was too cold and wet. Gonna throw a couple coats on this side tonight so I can drop the 4.88 locked 3rd into it tomorrow. Paint the other side while the rtv is curing, then hopefully slap it in the runner on Sunday.

First off fuck whoever came up with the 4runner ebrake system. Serious. They fucking suck.

Second, it definitely helps to have 2 people when putting the 3rd back in. Keeping my fingers crossed I didn't pinch the fucking air line. It was already close enough that it was getting grooves worn into it. Used my locker once in death valley so I know it's hold air at the moment, but I have a feeling I'll be replacing it soon.

Oh yeah, and my pinion gear is hitting my locker housing. I'm guessing this is normal?
