I had a Zuk in high school. Put a 22r in it out of a celica along with the trans hooked to the Zuk Tcase. Thing was geared ridiculously low, really couldn't do more than 55. Wish i had it now that i know more. If i ever build a crawler i think i want to start with a Zuk.
It was a good platform. Top speed was 50 crawled and articulated extremely well. Was great for local trails but not the rig you want to drive long distance in. I don't have the space for a trailer if I did I would have kept it. The 4runner will get the upgrades needed to get me in trouble.

I almost pulled the trigger on one of those a couple weeks ago and decided I already had a couple other projects to get done that I’ve been procrastinating on starting :anon:

Which one did you get?
I did a lot of reading about guys that did this mod and how Toyota did their tsb on this. A ten in fan fits but I didn't want to use the guns to mount it. I wanted to mount it using a bracket so I went a little bigger. I used a 12 inch fan. I bought a two pack because I have a Tacoma and a 4runner to keep cool.

If it doesn't do the job I'll pick up a two pack of ten inch fans to mount one on the other side. I got the trinary switch on eBay. It's of a Toyota Rav 4.

The pressure and voltage are the same on the 4runner pressure switch as in the Rav 4

The fan will come on when ac needs it with this.

I am also wiring it to a thermostat switch 200° on 185° off. It's redundant but also doing a switch on the dash.

So one 12 inch fan pushing 1700 CFM (doubt it) was not enough. I didn't want to chop up that lower bracket any more and the AC condenser line bracket gets in the way. So I went with a 10 inch fan for the right side of the condenser. That did the trick.
Today was a balmy 102° in the shade. After driving and parking with the AC on for 15 minutes waiting to get into the dentist the AC was chilly and no swamp ass to report.

You can see in the second picture the AC temp and outside temp on the AC screen thingy. We also did this on my son's Tacoma. I'll put some pictures up soon. About $120 did both truck/minivan

Has anyone had any luck with power steering stop leak. The Tacoma is leaking on the driver side. F ME.

I just top off the fluid until the rack could be swapped

#NoBandaids

I never even really had to do that. Mine just leaked into the boot and ruined inner tie rod joints for a year or so before it really got bad.

Yeah I’ve had luck with it on my first rack. I was too broke to buy a new one so I just bought a bottle of fluid that had stop leak in it. It stopped the leak during road driving but when I would go offroading it would start leaking again until I put more of it back in.
