I don't really have date preference. Not too early (Like not next weekend) or too late (Like last year). Robert invited me to run Rubicon with him since this trip is likely going to shit it sounds like. If you wanna run Rubicon again, I can ask Robert if they care if someone else tags along.

Fuck that sucks man. Maybe let it blow over and let his hot head cool down a bit. Sounds like this isn't the first time this type of situation as arose. Let it settle, and let his emotions pass. Then get your job back.

I've already done the Rubi this year and would rather get on Dusy but I'm up for whatever. Let's just make a plan. Anyone think @Hank will actually commit even if we let him pick the dates? lol

As far as the sudden lack of employment goes it's a good thing. I was frustrated with my employer and his crew. I got terminated for the first time in my life. Instead of the sudden rush of stress you would expect it was the exact opposite. I felt like all my issues went away in a second. I left with my chin up and no bad blood but I also didn't ask him to reconsider at all. I won't be going back when he calls me in a week or two. That bridge is burnt.

I've also got a kitchen remodel coming up. Cabinets should be here the 2nd orr 3rd week of August. This leaves me time to do it without having to put in time after work. It's summer and I plan on getting into the alpine a lot. My wife is totally supportive of me taking a few months off so that's what I plan on doing.

Sounds like it was for the best, but it still sucks having to job hunt. If you still have time on your hands in a couple weeks maybe we can meet up and hit a fishing spot or two. I’ll see if my buddy Justin has anything on the itenerary for this trip that we can’t work around but maybe we can shoot for Fri 8/14 or Sat 8/15 if you’re not busy those days?

I wouldn't put money on him making it even if he picked the dates.

Well sounds like it's gonna work out for you. Keep making that unemployment off of it since he's a hot head and makes bad decisions.
When will you be ready for mine?
I don't even want to work on my own rig anymore lol

Dude I seriously had to quit working on mine for 3 months before I felt the motivation to handle things. I still have shit I need to finish on it and fix, but it's functional enough for right now.

I've just been so damn busy at work that I get home and don't want to do shit after getting home late. Plus I've been out of town or busy almost every weekend lately. Last couple days I had free, I went wheeling instead of starting new projects lol
This heat doesn't help the lack of motivation either.

I think he fucking with us. I specifically said not this weekend a few posts up...
Yes my shit is working, but I’m busy this weekend with my sons birthday party.

Yeah, I know he's just talking shit. That's why I called him out. I was just curious to see what his long list of excuses would be. Yours is legit. Tell the boy I said Happy B-day.

I got openings on the arizona oveland trip for my homies! Start at Phoenix then up to Crown King,Sedona, and then maybe South part Grand Canyon. 3 nights total. Sept 24-28
We are debating where to go after Sedona but right now we are looking at camping by Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, or something around there.

ARB locker will arrive Wednesday.

Got a call from ECGS and they said the owner was getting involved in order to get a stock of the electromagnets, apparently its not uncommon for them to have issues. Also they are $225 a piece. :headwall:

I was organizing things today in the house and since I left the electromagnet hooked up to my multimeter I decided to turn it on and see if it would make contact after it cooled off. For whatever reason it was making continuity, after messing around with the wires it decided that today it would make temporary contact, which for whatever reason it wouldn't do yesterday. So looks like the wiring right where it enters the magnet is damaged and making intermittent contact, which is unsurprising given how much of a bitch it is to get in and out of the case while setting the up gears. Funny enough, ECGS said the other guy that needs a magnet has the same exact problem, his wires got fucked up while setting things up too. Looks like these elockers might not be the greatest thing in a clamshell diff.
