Thanks! Had way too much fun. And I figure if I can have humor when I flop my son's rig I can have it almost anytime.

Was chatting with @AssBurns and technically I can't take time off for the first 6 months. But the new boss gave me 2 days off to move Lexi and 3 days to go to NW Trail Jamboree with Carson - all with pay. She just added it to my bank.

Was driving past Dusy Ershim and decided to peak on in and see how the start looks like (Kaiser Pass side)

Everything looks fairly clear, no big differences from previous years.

Admittedly, I really only went in the first 1-2 miles because I had 4 passengers with me.

You must've stopped right before it started to get difficult. At about 2 miles in there is a nice uphill large rock garden. It was fun coming down, and would be even more fun going up.

Yeah, I got to the base of it and turned back.

I'm not attempting that with 5 people in the car, let alone no spotter, winch, skids, or recovery vehicles present.

So who is actually able to do the whole week and do more trails besides Dusy Ershim? I’d like to check out Swamp Lake, Red Lake, Mirror Lake, Coyote Lake, etc. obviously can’t do them all but we can check out some of them.

Went to make sure Swamp lake was actually open and noticed Dusy is still closed.... Good thing we didn't make plans for early this year. Has anyone heard anything or know about the "forest order"?

I think Marlin went up to Dusy last week with a group. They maintain and clear the trail so its probably about to open.
