You must've stopped right before it started to get difficult. At about 2 miles in there is a nice uphill large rock garden. It was fun coming down, and would be even more fun going up.Was driving past Dusy Ershim and decided to peak on in and see how the start looks like (Kaiser Pass side)
Everything looks fairly clear, no big differences from previous years.
Admittedly, I really only went in the first 1-2 miles because I had 4 passengers with me.

Oh yeah, I'd do the same thing. I don't do rock crawling trails solo either.Yeah, I got to the base of it and turned back.
I'm not attempting that with 5 people in the car, let alone no spotter, winch, skids, or recovery vehicles present.
I think Marlin went up to Dusy last week with a group. They maintain and clear the trail so its probably about to open.Went to make sure Swamp lake was actually open and noticed Dusy is still closed.... Good thing we didn't make plans for early this year. Has anyone heard anything or know about the "forest order"?

On my wayI just talked to the rangers. The order was lifted today. The trail is open.
