For those of you that did the fuel tank swap. What did you use for the filler neck and gas cap?

Scratch that. Found @AssBurns write up on all this.

Just arrived and got it home. Damn you package these things well! And I can already tell it's going to be so much easier than the coastal kits! Looks like I'm going to have a busy few weekends ahead of me with all the mods. 20230808_132644.jpg20230808_151633.jpg20230808_152235.jpg

OK, first thing - check the large radius bends in the center section for shipping damage (since "this end up" is code for FTS)
if they're tweaked (at least one should be) then the second package (hardware) will have reinforcement plates that go under the radius and contoured accordingly - they can (and were intended to be) used as a bend template for shipping damage correction - and double as swingout hinge reinforcing plates. :)

also -second photo - how the hell do you puncture the top of the box during shipping?!?

Radius's look good. (I use to work in a bending shop doing bumpers , sliders, skids etc) I have a full fab shop that works for me now and powder coating next month will be set up and running. (This will be the first piece to go in).

As for that I watched FedEx unload it by himself and it kinda hit the ground and I saw a shift from where the wings were in the box shift. All good. This will be a cake walk. Thanks for the bumper and stellar customer service and notifications through the process bro!

More of an Art Bell guy, but I'm happy to be here. All of your guys' build threads have been incredibly helpful in enabling my wild spending.

I'm an idiot and I don't understand what you're saying I should be cutting.

Unless you mean reduce my body lift...
Sawzall is for clearancing body metal for tire clearance
No body lift required.

Little bump cause I have had way to much on my plate. Got the body lift installed but really haven't touched the bumper or fuel tank. Slowly just been grabbing parts. The fuel tank is more scaring me to tackle so been researching and then researching more. All those threads are a good jump off point but I'm worried about hoses and wiring. I did order a different fuel gauge cause I could care less about the stock dash and this is a toy. Anyone have links to what they used for hoses, new fuel caps and the rest?
