this is me laughing at myself right now.OK, I'm working on (what I hope is) the last revision of my 3rd gen 4Runner rear bumper
OK, first thing - check the large radius bends in the center section for shipping damage (since "this end up" is code for FTS)Just arrived and got it home. Damn you package these things well! And I can already tell it's going to be so much easier than the coastal kits! Looks like I'm going to have a busy few weekends ahead of me with all the mods. Radius's look good. (I use to work in a bending shop doing bumpers , sliders, skids etc) I have a full fab shop that works for me now and powder coating next month will be set up and running. (This will be the first piece to go in).OK, first thing - check the large radius bends in the center section for shipping damage (since "this end up" is code for FTS)
if they're tweaked (at least one should be) then the second package (hardware) will have reinforcement plates that go under the radius and contoured accordingly - they can (and were intended to be) used as a bend template for shipping damage correction - and double as swingout hinge reinforcing plates.
also -second photo - how the hell do you puncture the top of the box during shipping?!?
Put on some lipstick and shake that money maker buddy. You’ll have that money for the mods in no time. Lol.And also now I can't wait to ditch my arb front and by yours instead. But I need tires first.
How do you think I was able to afford the bumper.Put on some lipstick and shake that money maker buddy. You’ll have that money for the mods in no time. Lol.
Long time viewer, first time caller. Any options for a 2" body lift in the works?

Unless you mean reduce my body lift...
Right. I'm already running a 2" body lift with a ~2.5" suspension lift.Sawzall is for clearancing body metal for tire clearance
No body lift required.
The bumper is pretty much requiring a 1" body lift.Sawzall is for clearancing body metal for tire clearance
No body lift required.
I'm dealing with a 1" gap on the front bumper now. I'm not a fan but it is what it is.Right. I'm already running a 2" body lift with a ~2.5" suspension lift.
I guess I could just deal with a nice gap until I'm convinced to cut down the body lift.
Can always cut the metal that the bumper is hitting..lolThe bumper is pretty much requiring a 1" body lift.
Very true. I need to cut and resend up the mounting points to the frame to raise the bumper. But there is always a way.Can always cut the metal that the bumper is hitting..lol
