What setup do you recommend as far as an upper clevis mount for the front limiting strap on the strut tower reinforcement kit?

I don't really have a recommendation up top - depends on the length of strap, really.

Anyone want to post their upper mount solutions for comparison purposes?

I got my straps, clevis’s and clevis tabs from Poly Performance. They had the best pricing while still looking like good quality. I recommend 8 or 9” straps. 8” might be perfect. I got 10” straps and I welded mine about as high on the frame as possible and still have the clevis’s almost completely tightened.
Before eimkeith tabs on there but same upper mounts.

Well you will be getting a lot of my money in a few months when I get 3 vehicles sold and start building my 4th gen 4runner.

Start thinking about the califab lower link mounts too. I destroyed mine pretty quickly.

Or a special someone can make some 4th gen link mount reinforcements like the ones we just welded on @theesotericone’s rig today.

Problem is that the 4th gen mount is basically tinfoil. You'd need to reinforce it on the sides vs just welding on to it like the pck. Otherwise you're just going to twist it like I did to mine.

So what you are saying is that that special someone needs to make some super special 4th gen reenforcement/pck kits to sell .

Here's a few more words about these.

To put is simply they fit perfectly. Here's a few shots pre-weld.

I did the prep work on them so @AssBurns could just weld them up. My mounts where a bit beat up on the bottom. Once I beat and ground my mounts back to closer to factory @eimkeith reinforcements slipped right on with a few small taps from a hammer. Once the bolt is lined up and put through they rotate right up in place. The tolerances are super tight and nothing else needed to be done except the welding.

A guy over on t4r.org questioned whether the gas tank would have to be dropped to weld these on. The answer is it does not. We simply dropped the gas tank skid. With that out of the way I was able to clean the frame on the tank side with a dremel. When Steven was ready to weld I used a pry bar to push the tank over 1/2" or so to give him enough room to get a bead on that side.

Once the welding was done the bolt went back in and the nut was able to be a few turn on it. Tightened it up with an impact and the factory bolt still has full engagement. I'd say @eimkeith nailed it with this one. Nice job man.

I just spent all day cutting those exact brackets out haha.

So what is this about an F150 tank wiring kit? :popcorn2:

Can always go fuel cell, but then you would need to go aftermarket fuel pump which suck dick.

you seriously may need to add a couple more straps to the bottom of your tank, sir.
I don’t think that’s quite the issue. I think it’s just frame all the movements.
Ya I don't drive like you. So I'm hoping it will be fine.
Hopefully

Parts you can buy from the auto parts store is extremely convenient
