I mean if you don't want it I'd happily take that off your hands.

Otherwise do it! They're pretty capable little computers. Raspbian is a distro of linux and is very functional. Could make for a good little computer.

I'm running another one in my 3d printer. It allows me to network the printer using Octoprint to control it. I can monitor it remotely, upload files directly without dealing with sd cards. Change settings from my PC or phone and abort prints if I see that they are failing.
From what I can tell it’s a $10 starter piece. Would cost me about $7 in gas to go to the store. I’ll see if I get bored and pick it up on principle (coupon is a coupon )

I kinda wanna take on a big/long term project.

Its been done before but I want to build a UAV of some kind with an amateur radio repeater on it. Idea would be to be able to fly up a couple hundred feet while out in the back country and essentially use it as a super tall antenna.

Quadrotor and fixed wing both have advantages/disadvantages. I'd only be looking for a loiter time of ~30 min on a battery. Easy enough to land and swap batteries.

Looking for a camera system to put in my vehicle that will be a dedicated rear view "mirror" has front facing camera and side cameras that records HD pic and sound and can handle the off road vibrations. Strictly for personal uses for MVR etc. My last couple of amazon buys seem to fail from driving off road. Something that I can low profile and not have to worry about getting stolen, so nothing gopro, any direction in where I should be looking....

Do you guys have suggestions on preventing "lifting"?

I've done some reading already, but would like your guys input/advice if you have the spare time to comment.

My research has stated to:
1) Slow down the print speed
2) Use a Glue Stick (Note: I do use one)
3) Heated Bed (Note: mine is not capable)
4) Slicer Settings (i.e. brim, wall, etc)
5) ... the list kind of goes on a bit more

Anyways, I haven't "experimented" with any slicer settings yet.

This box/chassis is my first "large print" (L=3.5in x W=2.85in x H=1.65in)

Still totally usable for what I need it for, but for future projects I would like to take care of the "lifting".

In the picture below, you can clearly see the "lifted corners". I have Blue Painters Tape and I was wondering if that will possibly help? I do know and understand though that it is heat/cooling is the main issue that causes lifting. But anyways, thoughts anyone?

I needed a box/chassis for my circuit project I'm doing for my RC car motors... Anyways...

I've seen your post and I don't want you to think I'm ignoring it... I just don't know what to say or suggest in this situation. Maybe someone will eventually chime in for a suggestion?

Anyways, the one I have I bought from Fry's Electronics a couple years ago now, but I have never installed it yet for many different reasons. But anyways, it is both either wired or wireless depending on how you would want to install it. The viewing monitor itself is about the size of your typical car navigator screen (i.e. Magellan, Garmin, etc) and it resembles one just by looking at it.

I have(had) a front facing camera for crawling and have wanted to add side view cameras so I can remove my mirrors prior to ripping them off on the trail yet again.
My front camera is a cheap Amazon one and it has held up for years.

thanks 4 the reply, figured if someone had anything to say they'd chime in and if not they wouldn't.

the fdm printers I've been around all used a heated bed and adhesive to prevent lifting. I was never involved in the setup to know if there were tricks.

Okay and thanks for the reply.

Well, I am using an adhesive (i.e. glue stick, which is what is recommended). But yeah, my bed is not heated.

However, I THINK I know where my issue is and I will be trying something here soon to test.

Still learning for sure though.

My companies ISO auditing is coming up within a week and dept mgrs have been making sure things are in place, "tagged properly", etc etc etc.

Well, I made sure to properly tag my stuff on my bench just in case the auditor doesn't know what a typical radio looks like??? :noidea:
