For lack of anything more exciting, I am making slow (but steady) progress on the bumper. I bought a 1.5" dimple die from TEMCo Industrial rated for 3/16". After much deliberation I knew it would be difficult to make this happen the way I wanted to because of the fact that the rear skin is already bent and there's not much room to get as close to perfect contact as possible between the press and the die. An assorted stack of round press plates seems to do the trick. It's not for everyone, but I love the dimple die look and I want to carry it over from my front bumper in small sections all the way through to the rear. Now I need to figure out if I really want to do it to the bumper wings as well or just leave them unbothered.

Thoughts?.... Lay into me if you think I should just let natural selection take care of me for my poor decision making...happy roasting!

It will look good and one of a kind. I wonder at what speed it will start to whistle.
That’s what I think every time I see a guy with gauges.
