Majority of Americans are in the left or right of the middle but over the last decade liberals are shifting further left and conservatives are are shifting more towards the middle but still a sliding a little some further right. The middle Americans are eroding and starting to pick sides. I hate how political everything is. If it’s not political it’s racist, it’s getting old

If I gotta get drug tested and have a performance eval just to earn a living, why the fuck isn’t Jason required to show some sort of progress towards self sufficiency?
Why aren't we just fighting to eliminate the drug test that you are required to take?
This is the issue we have in today's society. People like to get mad that they have less freedom and someone else has more freedom, so they cry "Take their freedom too!!", when in reality we should just be fighting for everyone's freedoms.

I get that drug tests are an employer thing and I firmly believe that employers have the right to do as they please, but I think it's time we stand up to crap like drug tests. I know many people that are great employees and hard workers that take recreational drugs responsibly. If they got caught on a drug test they will be fired. It's total BS.

I’ve been pondering a thoughtful response for the better part of the day (I know, not what we’re known for around here). I agree with what you’re saying. I’m not a socialist kind of guy, but I do believe in helping those who are less fortunate where possible. I believe the federal “invasion” going on with contract forces in various cities around the country is bullshit (hence my tyrannical government comment earlier). And I‘m tired of people being assholes to each other because apparently you can only either be a libtard or MAGA maniac. I like to think I can get along with most folks, and I appreciate fellow veterans (if I remember you correctly: Marine?) and everything that you and others have done for the country. But I find that Ive gotten less tolerant of hateful folks in my old(ish) age. I appreciate that we can meet in the middle on things.

And for the record, I like guns. They’re an amazing piece of engineering that have evolved fabulously over time. I just don’t have any.
If you are referring to the Federal agent’s (Bortac)Border Patrol special opps unit. That are stationed in the federal courthouse they are protecting a federal building that the city police in Portland can’t protect and would have been burned down weeks ago if not for them. As it is the Portland mayor is going to ask for federal funds to rebuild the city that he Is allowing to be burned down and destroyed. I don’t know but if your neighbor gets pissed and trashes his house are you going to help pay for it to get fixed. I think not. No matter how giving you are.
I am a giving helping person but you have to want to help yourself first. I use common sense as my guide through life.
That’s why I buy expensive suspension components and parts to put on a T4R that is only worth 7k :beerscheers:

like LGBTs fight to “legalize” gay marriage.
The fight should have been to get government OUT of all marriage and do away with marriage licenses.

Wow this Firearms BS thread got political real quick!

And what's great is nobody is crying about it. Kinda cool what lack of censorship does.
Every one here is a man. Not a snowflake. Men can talk and discuss things all day long if it gets bad then it ends in a fight. Snowflakes go run to mommy for protection.

I was trying to be funny with a stick-poke gun comment and things got a little diverted for a moment or two. Back to your regularly schedule program.

It wasn’t an issue of freedom to me.
I understand that if there are things I want to accomplish in life, there are hoops and obstacles to overcome, hence working hard for an employer who takes decent care of me.
It’s more so an issue of freeloading and being givin the opportunity to continue to fuck up your life just because, “human rights, no one should starve, theyre just going through a tough time”

You guys should be doing this in the tw/bullshit thread. Although I do agree. My ex has been living off the system for the better part of 20 years. She's a useless piece of trash that needs to be taken to the landfill and buried already.
