Awesome, girls are awesome. Mine just turned five and she’s my little buddy. We go fishing, hunting, shooting, and watch the Yankees together all the time. From what my friends say she’s your buddy till around 11-12 then say good bye till the mid twenties. Proud girl dad here
That’s pretty much my plan with her except swap the Yankees for the Padres. Although, we may throw on some Yankee games in honor of my grandpa. My wife tells me she was a handful when she was a teenager so I’m sure I’ll have my work cut out for me.
A girl? Oh man you are in for a hell of a ride. Lol. We had a girl first and I was melted burin her hand. You will do great. Congratulations on everything that you have accomplished in a short time. How is the mine job going? I got shoved to work the Pima ( spot the mine cars at assarco and Pima mines). I thought about you but can’t use the phone when running the Choo choo.

The mine has been like the Roman emprie with >$3 copper lol! I switched from procurment to contracts about a year ago so pretty much same shit different toilet bowl, although I don’t deal with the rail as much anymore. We are in the process of expanding our rail track to add like an additional 40 cars so that’ll be super nice once it’s done

I'm new to cans, and still pretty new to firearms. I just assembled this 9mm AR style pistol and had the idea to put a can on it. Anticipating that, I just threw on a SilencerCo ASR flash hider. I didn't do any research on cans at that point. Is ASR a decent approach to mounting a can? Is there a different option that is better? What can would yall recommend for 9mm? I wouldn't mind being able to throw it on my 5.56 also.

So much to cover silencer shop has some decent info and of course you tube for reviews and such. Can't remember the name but there's a website out there with all kinds of sound tech research on a large numbers of cans.

Mounting systems are all kind of personal preference. YHM qd mounts were big for a while. Dead Air keymo, silencer Co and surefire are probably the big 3 right now in qd

My general thought is given the hassle of dealing with NFA etc I like my stuff to be as versatile as it can be. All my gas guns are dead air keymo mounts so any can I buy needs to fit the dead air keymo adapter(exception direct thread for bolt guns) currently the two pictured above one YHM 5.56 and one dead air .30 cal both set up with keymo to be interchangeable with different rifles.

After that just depends on what your looking for in a can more sound suppression usually means longer and heavier cans. Shorter light weight cans usually means louder not as hearing safe.

Trusts
If looking at doing a NFA trust I would suggest going a full NFA trust from the start. Silencer shop single shot trusts are nice easy and cheap but can't do form 1 and let's be honest who really just stops at 1 can. Just do an nfa trust from the start and have 1 trust for all nfa items. Silencer shop and I'm sure other websites have good info on trusts

Large format AR's and cans unlike most current AR15s made or built using reputable manufactures adding a suppressor the gun will still run reliably just maybe a bit more gas blowback.Large format ARs like .308 6.5cm are a giant frustrating puzzle to get gassed correctly when adding a can even with adjustable gas block. Although pricey almost better to spend money on a quality brand designed to run surpassed out of the box. Or over build the buffer system from the start and get the longest gas tube you possibly can.

ASR is pretty good, some people report them loosening over prolonged use but ymmv. Keymo is also solid, but just heavy and big. YHM and Q Plan B are pretty slick, as is the DA Xeno. Xeno honeslty would probably be what I went with if I didn’t already go with Rearden/Plan B

I have a Rearden Atlas with several of their flash hiders and have enjoyed them. I’m partial to taper mounts personally, but it really is a pick your poison.

I would buy a dedicated pistol and rifle can if I were you. If your dead set on one can to rule them all, I would look at the SiCo Hybrid 46, should cover all your bases. You’ll need to look into pistons and such if your looking to use on handguns. Rex Silentium can also do custom suppressors in whatever bore size and baffle count you want.

Thanks for the info guys! I was on the fence about dedicated cans for calibers or having one can to rule then all. The swap-ability would be nice, but I'd rather they function the best for each one.

I'll probably just stick with the SiCo asr, since I already have that. But if I get one can per unit, then it really wouldn't matter if I try different styles, I suppose.

Same. Waiting on Tbac ultra 9 to clear in next couple months and will be putting a dead air primal in jail soon because who doesn't love a suppressed 45-70View attachment 81023
Who are you kidding. I haven’t even ordered my cans yet and I’ll probably get them before the atf even looks at your paperwork. Don’t forget Fed Ex will lose it when it does ship and then take the longest way to get it delivered to you. You know I am fucking with you but damn it if it ain’t your luck with pew pew stuff.

Snagged an open box YHM Turbo T2 today for $299, minus a mount/rear cap. Capitol Armory has em and some Saker 5.56k cans for like 40% off. They still have em in stock if anyone is looking
