Thinking about moving on from my PSA AK-P if anyone is interested. Just don’t shoot it at all. Got it listed on ARF for $800 minus the SRO. Will do $750 obo for y’all AZ folk. Also got 840rds of Golden Tiger 124gr hpbt I’ll add for another $200 if anyone is interested.

“Brace” can be removed if you’re not into it.

Comes with:
PSA Extended Safety (Installed)
- Original safety
- Bake grip, possibly Romanian but never confirmed (Installed)
-Original black grip
-2 30rd Pmags
-2 30rd Croatian mags w/LRBH followers. These were hand fit and lock up nice and tight
-1 Bulgarian 40rd, wobbly but cycles good the few tomes I ran it.

Need a 3-9x90 scope for a new savage axis 6.5 creedmoor I picked up, it's going to be a backup / loaner gun so I'm keeping a tight budget on it.
So far I've narrowed it down to either a Bushnell banner or a vortex crossfire 2...

Anyone have experience with either of those two?

I'd have to open the safe and I'm being lazy tonight but pretty sure my vortex is the 3-9 crossfire 2. If it is, I love it. I've actually got it on my .22 and it hasn't lost it's 0 in many trips out.

Check out the primary arms stuff.
I run a trijicon on ar-10 and this
...on a savage scout 308. The primary arms has been comperable to the trijicon dare I say.

I also have a weatherby vanguard (similar to savage axis) 308 with a vortex viper 4-16 x44 and I think you get more bang for the buck from primary arms. They seem better built, thicker material or something and the turret adjustments are way more pronounced. I use the 1-8 and first focal plane for hunting thick brush and out to 5-600yds. I would definitely go for more magnification if your target shooting but you have to ask yourself what do you really expect from a budget optic on a budget gun.

That said the vanguard with a composite stock, bed job, timney trigger, brake, and custom loads is a "tack driver" and easily shoots to 1k if you can.

And I think the vortex fogged on me and I had to send it in for service or replacement.

I'm guessing 200 yards will be the absolute furthest I take this thing out to so I'm not expecting much.

On the other hand, it would be a neat waste of money to see just how accurate I could get a >400 gun

Vortex scope came today, the axis has a 2 piece scope mount and the scope is maybe an inch too short to clear the scope mounts, Ordered a 1 piece pic rail today that should be in Monday. Kind of a bummer, I'm rather excited to get some rounds down range
