You have no idea how bad it gets when you are no longer tied to the restraints of living in CA and these things can become reality.
Oh I bet it’s like being a kid in a candy store.
Also, I feel so much better having 18 + 1 of 135g Hornady 9mm HP's next to my bed than 8 rounds of 45 in a 1911. I have confidence that modern ballistic science makes 9mm a venerable caliber.
Finally someone gets it. These damn old fuckers are so engrained into their old ways that they don’t want to listen to any ideas that might be better than what they are used to.

I am constantly looking in armslist.

I think they do it more because they know it gets people worked up, whether you are arguing the 9mm or 45acp side of things. Personally, I side with shot placement, quantity, and flat out economics. There is not competition in the price per round for each caliber and most folks would be more likely to shoot more and become more competent with their defense pistols if they can afford shoot their gun. Therefore, 9mm is the best option for new gun owners, and what I recommend to any non gun owners who are interested in finally buying their first handgun.

:rofl::rofl:

You obviously don’t get what I’m saying. The improvements in ammunition (expansion, velocity, consistency, etc) over the past few decades in ALL AMMUNITION is what made the 9mm worthwhile since the trade off for “stopping power” is no longer the biggest drawback, and you get the benefits of more capacity, lighter ammo, faster follow up shots, cheaper ammo, flatter trajectory, etc.

Want so bad!!!
Nah I’ve heard/read/seen those arguments for close to a decade now. I still prefer shooting the 45 over a 9

Nothing special. Not knocking it if you like it, but just not the platform I care too much for. Although, it seems like the Sig P938 is based on the 1911 and I would like to carry one of those.
Interesting looking pistol, I wonder if the trigger pull is straight back like the 1911 or if it’s a pivot like everything else out there

It’s probably the trigger that I like the most about the 1911 platform. That and the weight. It’s solid and you can bludgeon someone with it if shooting is too impersonal.

I have been gone for a while and don't know if you mentioned anything. You find work where you were looking, or settling for now?

Either way, I wish you the best. The last few months before I left CA were very hectic an expensive, so I will have to be very jewish for a while out here. But, I am so looking forward to my homecoming for King of the Hammers, as well as the opportunities, gun wise, in Kentucky.

Working temp and enrolled in 3 classes for January. There's a chance for a perm gig out of this, but right now I'll just work when I can while I'm wrapping up some degrees and certs for the end career goal.

Welcome to the free world! It feels odd at 1st but you get used to it quick.
We left CA on July 2nd. On July 4th I UnCalifornia'ized my rifles, was glorious :)

1st time doing a private party sale, in a parking lot, I was looking over my shoulder for the ATF to pounce. Fork over cash, flash ID, walk away with new pew pew.

Damn millennials just cant take losing an argument. Ok ok you are right the 9mm is a better handgun then the 45mm ... said no one ever
Lol said no one ever? Where the fuck have you been? This is a common dispute between half the gun community. Majority would rather carry 9mm, where some old “men” carry 45 to boost their ego.

It’s okay to prefer the 45 over a 9.

Just not a high end one.

I had a mid-range 1911, Kimber TLE II with a light rail, and was nice to shoot. My brother has a high-end Les Baer and that thing is sweet, especially the trigger. But at $3k, it barely even gets touched, let alone used, because it is too nice.

I was happy when I traded the Kimber for a Sig 9mm. Once again, it comes down to economics of actually being able to afford to buy ammo to feed and practice with all my guns.

I have that kimber. Very accurate.
