Yeah that was “different”
Do not like but don't let my opinion change your mind if you like it.
It wouldn't be so bad if there was MLOK on top.
I like full length rails on top because I mount my pressure switches for lights/lazers on top of the rail.
Shoots very nice
If you want long range get a 308.Shoots better since I put the new scope on it. About to order a more long range scope for the AR and put this one on the .22
I like that! I will admit I am a BCM fan, good stuffI think im going to go with BCM rail on my next build

I should have just built a old school AR with iron sights. I have so much data book info in my head from shooting it. I cold make a wing call and get in the 9 or 10 ring on my first shot. Same for elevation. 8/3-2 to 8/3+5 if inside 575 yards you are fucked. Had to learn how to do that with the scope all over again. Not that long. I have an 18" barrel on my AR. I can hit 220, but I can't see it very well with the scope I have. Just want something with a bit higher magnification so it's easier to see 200-400. Ideally I'm looking to shoot 100-400 with this setup. 200 comfortably.
I guess I just don't really care for the long handguard. Is there any real reason to go with a 15" over a 12" besides the looks of it? 12" seems plenty long, but if there is a solid reason for 15", I am more than willing to go longer if it makes sense for functional reasons.I personally like the full length top rail.
If i was building an upper now I would go with the 15" BCM rail regardless if I decided on a 14.5 barrel with pinned muzzle device or a 16" barrel.
Well I like that idea of lower weight. They also sell a 13" guard too. Also looking at the weight difference between the Aero and BCM the BCM is actually lighter even with the full length top rail.
This is based on the 15" length handguard.
Aero Rail + Mounting hardware = 12.67oz

I like it! The 15" looks great on the 18" barrel, but I only have a 16" barrel.Best I have on the phone without pulling it from the safe. I can grab more later if you want more detail. Recently attached a sling to it.

Hmmm... If I decide on a 15" hand guard, I might take that offer.funny enough I have that one in 15” on my rifle. I’m likely going to sell it
It all depends on what feels good for you. I don't have a lot of bend in my left elbow when shooting. I use my left arm to pull the riffle into my chest. Trigger hand is relaxed. A straighter arm works best for that there for the longer hand guards. Most of the time my thumb is at 12 or 10 o clock on the hand guard also with a sling wrap.I guess I just don't really care for the long handguard. Longer handguard lets you put your front sight further forward for a longer sight pictureI guess I just don't really care for the long handguard.
