Are you going to buy extras in case that ever happens again? If you need it in a pinch, you can probably get one from KarTek in Corona.

I probably should because it's an odd size connector. I've got icons, foxes, and kings sitting in the garage right now and they're all different.

Too hot to do anything around the house today so we decided to head up to Big Bear to beat the heat. Just cruised around some small trails the. Spent the rest of the time just cruising around 3N16 and 3N14.
We were going pretty quick catching some air in some spots when all of a sudden I felt a clunk with a ringing sound. I slowed down and it happened a couple more times. I noticed my Panhard bolt wasn’t very tight so I fixed that but I knew that couldn’t be the sound I heard.
Started driving again and it was still happening. Turned out to be the sway bar end link I replaced yesterday. The washer is too thin and just bushed the whole bushing down the end link creating a ton of slop. Luckily it wasn’t a problem. I just left it for now. Kinda funny taking turns, turning left the sway bar works fine, but turning right it’s like I have no front sway bar.

Then next thing I know my motor died on me. Let it sit for a sec and it started right back up.
Then when we got back on the road it did the same thing. No idea what the cause was. Probably something electrical or fuel pump related. Couldn’t replicate what happened.

Then when we parked to go get lunch I noticed a hissing sound. Popped the hood and noticed the hose clamp on my trans cooler was rubbing against my AC condenser and rubbed a hole in it. Lost my damn AC due to that.
That was a hot drive home. It was 88° in big bear and 103° by the time we got home.

Now I gotta get that fixed before this Friday. Always something haha

No @eimkeith panhard correction? I actually use red loctite on my bolt because I lost it that one time.

88°?
is that what your thermostat is set to?!
I can't just sit inside all day. I get way too bored being in the house. An hour of TV at a time at best before I get super bored and start wondering around the house for things to do. Too hot for the garage or outside at home. 88° is way more tolerable when outside.

Picked up a J-Shift T-Case from @theesotericone yesterday. Just ordered the RAD Designs twin stick shifters. Probably not something that was necessary but I have enjoyed the 2lo option, and needed to pick up a shifter anyways. Still need to get my driveshafts from Caleb so I can get this stuff all installed and 4wd working again.

Now you just need to figure out the fuel issue at altitude.
Fucker died on my twice on the drive home. There was a ton of traffic coming into Olancha so I hit the dirt and passed a ton of cars. As soon as I hit pavement again it died. Had to wait on the shoulder for 10 minutes before it started again. All that time I gained, I lost...
Then another time after cruising up a long grade, and coming downhill on the other side it lost power. I really have no idea what it is. Something with being on the throttle then letting off right away.

Wild. Yeah we hit that traffic in olancha too, but it wasn't bad enough to hit dirt. Took us like 15 mins to get through.

I'm gonna try checking vacuum lines and maybe the fuel pressure regulator. What is frustrating is it happens at weird times. Usually going from lots of heavy throttle to low throttle. I did tape up a vacuum like when I hit Kramer Junction, but didn't notice anything else and the vacuum line I did tape up didn't seem like it would be the likely culprit. It was a line from the EVAP canister to the air filter box.

Are you still having overheating issues? Could check for fuel aeration or vapor lock? Shit fuel line somewhere? Can of seafoam in the tank never hurt anyone either... it has to be something mechanical if it's not setting a cel
