@Tetten and I just decided to go do Fordyce this weekend. The plan is to camp at the trailhead Friday night and start wheeling early Saturday. We've been waiting for the flows to drop and they just did. Currently it's running at 60 CFS. So that's the reason for the late notice.

This is the usual call out to the folks that won't make it.

@AssBurns
@Hank
@Mike_taco4x4
@MonkeyProof
and whoever else sees this and wants to let us know they can't go for whatever bullshit excuse they have. lol

piece of cake alright,

go to the 4:20 mark..

Supposedly all of the winch hills have "bypasses"

2 of the winch hills, #1 the one in the video, and I think #3, don't look like it's possible in a street legal IFS without either serious body damage or flopping.

I'll probably bypass those.

Fuck that, I want to start as soon as I get there in Friday and camp on the trail.

Also should change the title to " Will Matt hydrolock his engine the week before Dusy? Fordyce Sept 20-22"

If the waters that deep you can just tow me across. Can't hydrolock a non-running motor. lol

You're on you own homie, payback for ditching me on the Cadillac Hill obstacle you knew I was gonna get fucked on. :rofl::flipoff:

Ditching you? There was a Jeep with a fucking winch line pulled to that location when I drove up the obstacle, successfully, without a spot. lol

2 of those things don't really help breakover angle

Yeah, yeah. Any more excuses you'd like to throw into the ring? lol

So I've been doing a little reading and it appears there is damn work being started at Fordyce Lake. That should mean flows will remain mellow until the snow flies.

Apparently it snowed up in the northern Sierras today or yesterday
