I read that a long time ago. Something about the fuel pump could suck in air instead of gas and cause issues/wear


I run it down to E.

Go till the light turns on.

And then you still have 3 gallons on the 1st gen

Running the fuel pump dry for hours on end will eventually destroy it. But as long as it is pumping fuel which helps keep it cool, you’re good.

I guess they put a 2 stroke in his truck. Totally fucked up the break in. Toyota puts in special additives that shouldn't be diluted.

That gas tank shit is fucking retarded. The pump sits inside a chamber to prevent air bubbles and fuel from splashing around. Drop the tank and look inside. My motor would of blown up by now if I got air bubbles. The stock tank is pretty well designed.

I typically try to keep above half tank, that’s just a best practice for me but it has nothing to do with wear n tear or fuckin shit up.
I just never know if I’m going to have to do a long stretch where I can’t get to a gas station.
