Daily the rodeo?
It's a poor daily right now. Gets 16mpg, takes PREMIUM of all things, and is horrendous to get parts for. It's an ideal driveline and engine swap candidate. It's just not a great daily.

What kind of isuzu rodeo requires premium?
The kind where the owners manual calls for 91RON fuel?
My 95 6vd1 3.2L V6 runs 9.8:1 compression, is a non interference engine, is all aluminum, and calls for 91RON.
To me that's premium. And 9.8 is pretty high to run lower grades in.
Real world testing, 83L tank, 400km on 87, 650km on 91.
I mean hey cusz, you can tell me I'm wrong but. . . But you don't drive it.
Turd gen v6 is 11.8 to 1 compression ratio on USA 87 pump gas

4.0 is 10:1 and without getting into a fuel debate, both my Tacoma and 4runner prefer 91. Less pinging and ticking.
That’s considered our low grade fuel
Now your cooking with Canadian canola oilSure. Everything in the US magically runs on 106.
I'll be sure to listen to the IDPOR engineers over my owners manual.
I noticed better mpg and power with 91 than 87 also. The difference between 89 and 91 is very small in mpg so I use 89 on all my vehicles.Much as that makes sense, and the math follows for using 87, why does my vehicle see such better economy on 91?
Is it the ethanol in 87 perhaps? I've done the math, 91 is worth 15% more here, sure. But I'm seeing a massive difference in fuel economy running premium.
Overall it really doesn't matter, once I'm healed up from this surgery I'm taking a look at a diesel to put into it. Gas engines and I don't get along, diesels speak to me far more fluently. I've been collecting parts for a while to do this whole monstrosity of a swap.
Get a fucking roomI noticed better mpg and power with 91 than 87 also. The difference between 89 and 91 is very small in mpg so I use 89 on all my vehicles.
That's the first civil discussion we have had.
I don't like it
This one probably runs on premium
