4.0L and 91 (non ethanol if possible) for my truck because it pings something gnarly under load and goes away with 91 (across multiple tanks, not a one tank benefit) any modern engine will adjust for the fuel grade. if your knocks and pings don't go away with better fuel...time for a tune up.

The shop looks ghetto because it's got fuckall for lighting and it's dirty. 8 Lightboxes, 2 bulbs.
The panel isn't bad beyond the ridiculous breaker for the welding plug. Copper, underground conduit, labeled and mounted on plywood backing. It's legal.
With some LED floods and a good clean it'll be a good shop. Insulated and heated goes a long way to winning me over. I'll have to make some shelving and base cabinets but that's not a big job to me.
The house is outdated on the outside, but nice enough inside. Rent is low enough to be less than mortgage/taxes on a comparable place.
It ticks off the right boxes. Good enough for a couple of years while we save up for a home out of town.

That’s exactly what I did over the last year. I rented some place that barely met the requirements I needed with low enough rent to save and get my shit together. After a year of that, I was able to buy a decent place. Sometimes you need to have a reality check on what you actually need out of a house. You got a plan, and just stick to it.

It’s a joke regarding the general ignorance people in the United States has regarding other countries. Even our immediate neighbors.
On a personal note, I’ve met a ton of Canadians due to playing hockey and having in-laws that were born in Montreal. By in large most are just like US citizens in the northern states and know how to take a good ribbing.
I'm fairly sure you could ask the average yank where North Korea is, and they'd point to fucking Canada.
