I was half an hour late today, and my co-super just asked if I'd need Family Day off to check the pregnancy test results.

So we lost a 30 million dollar job by 800g, which is ridiculous, to an out of province company.
We finished up second of 17 bidders.
The spread from 2nd to 10th was less than 75g or some shit.

Hope like hell the guys who were low didn't carry all of the contract details.

Worse still, it's a provincial government job. That they farmed out of province. What the fuck.

Well, guys have started pulling out. When you're not making any money, guys don't want to work with you because you'll cheap out on everything.

The low mechanical guy pulled out of their bid on Monday. He was 500g low.
The low drywall guy pulled out. He was 100g low.
If the low Sparky pulls out, we might get it.

That's what happens sometimes when you buy work. Guys don't want to take the chance of you being a dickhead, and they assume they were dumbfuck low because they missed something.

I miss the good ole days when I would go get fucked up on my breaks without care. Now I barely like drinking more than one beer at lunch because I am not as productive afterwords. It sucks having responsibilities sometimes.

Does your work care about that stuff? Obviously as long as you aren't getting trashed.

I can kinda do whatever I want, but lately I just haven't wanted to drink during the workdays. Too hard to focus afterwords. I gotta stay on point or else clients like to take advantage of anything you slip on. The benefits of sales is also the drawback to sales.
