you’re saying they’re entitled bitches that would rather throw money at the problem and then drive to the mall to show others how much money they’ve spent on their trucks?

Lol we already have that here

More like the perpetual “should I buy a Sport or Off-road” and “what color truck should I get” threads - the paid advertisers and data mining companies called up Bob and said- “we will pay extra if you keep attracting those people “, lol

I can afford new. I choose not to because I don't want to bitch on a forum about how shitty my truck shifts and that the factory tires suck.

IF and that's a BIG IF I were to get a 3rd gen it would have to be a manual tranny.

Yeah, a 2017 access cab SR with the 5 speed MT is something I would like to own someday- like the last of the great Tacoma’s imo.

Why 2017? Is that the last of the ones without all the nannies?

The 2017 SR model is the last one to get the Japanese manufactured 5 speed MT / 4 cyl engine combo.

Starting in 2018, only the 6 speed MT was available, and only in the 6 cyl engine TRD and PRO models.

And yes, the safety nannies began in the Tacoma in 2018, so no thanks.

I got banged up pretty good in a workplace accident in 2013, and driving my MT truck was difficult enough for awhile that I picked AT last time for my daily driver, but for a knock around weekend truck, that 2017 SR 5 speed would be fun.

Someday.

Ah well a 4 banger would be good since that engine has been around forever. I’d have to do something about the grille or yeah I hear what you’re sayin

Gotta wait until this overlanding fad dies down and pick up a grandpa truck

it’ll die down faster if they make 9 movies about it
Like fast and furious movies but call it slow and placid. Make it a coming of age tale about a bunch of zillenials that overland to the next KOA spot across America where they actively blog every campsite and meal.

fuck that actually sounds like they would make a movie like that. No one steal my idea

Time for me to go get a new T4R 2wd. I could be the star.
