Lesson learned, don't let your family members borrow your vehicles when they don't know how to handle non-highway terrain.

Doesn't look bad, but its actually quite a bit of unseen damage. Nearly every major body panel is busted in, shattered windows, tailgate is busted, etc.

It’s been over 30 minutes; don’t leave us hanging! What happened?

My brother went snowboarding and hit a patch of ice somewhere and slid. Hit the bank and flipped to the top and then settled on it’s side.

I’m actually outta town , so I don’t have the full story and pictures.

Good thing my brothers under my insurance policy !!!!

That sucks man.

Get ready to start haggling with your insurance company. Find a list of comps quickly so you can back up what the rig was worth. If you have the room buy it back and then take what parts you can off for the next rig. Part out the rest. Oh, and make your brother do all that fucking work while you sit in a chair drinking beer.

A few chest of cold beer would be nice right now.

Yeah , I may just buy it back after all the insurance shit and part it out as much as I can. Might get most of the money back.

Got a bunch of buddies ready to take all my gear already

So sorry to hear about your rig man. Where is the 4Runner now? I'd have it towed to your place during insurance haggle. Sometimes, if it sits in a tow yard, things go, "missing"... I hope it all gets sorted out man and we see the "part two" of your build adventure!

We are currently being hit by a "big" snowstorm. People have lost their minds. Yeah, it's snowing, but not end of the world snowing. It's just that people here in the PNW don't know how to drive in the snow and ice. My 25 minute commute turned into a 2 hour drive home after the snow started falling. I can't believe how many people still tailgate and come to a stop about two feet from your rear.

oh man I feel your pain. not my brother but a good buddy was borrowing my Runner while his truck was in the shop. Got a call that he had rolled it while night wheeling (without permission). Glad your brother is ok and I agree with all the statements about insurance. Get your stuff out and buy it back and rebuild with another rig.

I will say building my second and current Runner was a great way to do the things I wished I had done to the first.

Glad to know I’m not the only one who has had issues like this.

I’m gonna figure out insurance see what they offer me. If it’s good , I’ll take it. If not , buy back and rebuild another one
