I am gonna get to work on fixing my power steering for this trip. Some lines started leaking this weekend in Calico.

I hope putting brake fluid in the reservoir does not fuck things up. My drunk ass topped it off thinkng I grabbed the bottle of PS fluid.

You'll need to flush the entire system asap, brake fluid is glycole based and not compatible with other types of fluids and seals.

I figured it would fuck with the seals. Luckily everything drained out and hopefully adding more and letting it drain through would help.

Who's down for an "IFS attempts the Hammers" clusterfuck the weekend of October 25th to 27th?

Get out there Friday night, do a booze cruise up Turkey Claw.

Saturday do Chocolate Thunder and attempt Jackhammer if we still have anyone left that is willing and able.

Saturday night, we get @Mike_taco4x4 to make a fuck ton of pinwheel steaks, and do a lot more boozin'.

Sunday we can do a morning hangover reducer run around the area, and play in the sand dunes for a little until we are ready to pack up and head home.

I've got more vacation days than I thought I had. I'll probably take a vacation day Saturday, so I'll drive out Friday night and wheel Saturday until someone breaks something and then either head back that night or Sunday morning.

No idea if I'm going to be able to make it. I ordered a FJ ADD set up, picked up an FJ case out of a wrecking yard yesterday, and ordered a twin stick set up. Assuming I get all of that quickly and there's someone to cover my shift at work I'll be there Saturday.

I just got done tinkering with my truck and it seems like the culprit in my power steering was one of the fittings on my ram assist. I tightened it up and added PS fluid. Cycled it back and forth for a while and everything seemed fine for now.

Looks like there is a good chance of me making this trip. I will most likely take the toy hauler and try to head out early Friday afternoon, if I do go.

And my "maybe" turned into an "out" tonight. I didn't know it, but turns out when someone at my work goes on some kind of medical leave they take back any vacation accrued during that time....... They just wait 7 months to do it and don't make any announcement about it, fucking cunts. So when I thought I had several extra days of vacation I actually don't have any.
