I'd rather get stuck on a rock under the truck than on the side of it. Kyle's truck cab is going to look like a deflated soccer ball by the end of next year at the rate he's going.

I guess the bonus on the 4runner is I just rip panels off instead of hitting the body. Haha. Really need to fix those.

I see what you did there. Didn't someone tell him there's a big rock there? lol

The picture really makes it look like I could have just made a wider turn to avoid it but it was a gnarly tight spot and I couldn't pivot the truck around any more to the driver side. Hind sight, I may have been able to. I was planning on pivoting off the slider but the truck had other ideas of where it wanted to go.

I'm right there with you on that. this is what I get for taking on trails for buggies and 40's. With how tight this trail was, I'd love to see you get your truck through it.

And now that brings us up to date on this dumpster fire project. It's close to driving again. I'm waiting on Spidertrax to get the correct brake hardware sent out to me to mount up the calipers. Then I can start assembling the rest.

I am going to have to get the driveshaft re-tubed again... It needs to be longer with pushing the axle back and the u-joint location on the new axle is further away from the tcase than the OEM axle.

jfc put a warning on posts like this. wow! how many tons does that CAT D2 axle weigh? beefy isn't even a good start. absolute unit is better...
planning on recording your tuning runs? would be incredible to see underway.

The axle with both tires, no brake calipers, and no fluid weights 630 pounds and 240 of that is just wheels and tires.

yeah, I’ll throw a camera under the back and then I’ll see if I can get some high speed drive bys. I won’t be doing a full shock tune until I get bypasses on all 4 corners and the spring rates correct.

nope. It my way of telling you that my truck will be done for the rubicon in two weeks. Gotta slap a new tcase in, plumb the trans cooler, and assemble the rest. I was gonna do the tcase today but ended up spending the afternoon and evening sighting in my new sight on the bow.

i don’t know what Mikes excuse will be yet.

Just when I'd given up on you. Get that shit done. When your finished go over to Mike's and weld his hangers on so he doesn't have an excuse either. lol

See you at the trailhead.
