Damnit I've got the camera gear for photography.
I do landscape photography and candids for dog stuff... Nikon 850 and lots of glass and all the fixings. I could shoot everyone's trucks and make em look pretty.

Should make a side account of videos of him setting up the IG account and uploading videos. It would be comedy gold. Call it @boomeroffroad :flamethrow:
zing! could theme the next run...dad clothes. tucked in horz stripe polo, kakis, white calf socks and brand new, new balances

I've got a Canon 7d so 8fps for action shots and it still does it quite well for 10 year old tech.

Might be on to something here. Just need a 70-200 2.8 now.

with the battery grip, I think its like 9fps 45MP, goes moar fasterous in crop mode.
have the holy trinity zooms and a smattering of primes, mostly wide angle...

So how else can we foul up Hank's thread? Anyone read a good book lately or work on the family quilt? no? anyone? crickets?

I drove the truck today. Out of the garage and then back in. But it’s facing the other way now. No fluids leaked and it didn’t light itself on fire. View attachment 24329
It moves! Fucking rad man. I'm starting to feel like you might actually, really, probably, most likely, make this trip.

Rig looks good.

Do you plan to use that pinion guard? I have one from Ruff Stuff but it's fucking massive. I might modify it to sit a little closer to the yoke so it's not like a shovel catching on everything.

You mean this pinion guard? Yeah this is the artec industries one. Artec is like 15 minutes from my parents house so I stopped by and picked it up on my way through. But holy shit, artec charges a shit ton for their parts

the rear just needs gear oil and it’s done. Now I’m starting on the cam tab gussets. Gotta finished this tomorrow so can go out this weekend and start scouting elk.

I got the truck slapped together good enough to make it out. Rubicon was awesome. We had a riot and cruised through in about 9 hours. Only issue I had was a fuel pump wire that shit out on me 1/4 mile into the trail. I also need to crank up the coilovers on all 4 corners. Finally had the truck at loaded weight and it’s sitting about 2” too low.

and then after we got off the trail, @Tetten front diff cooked itself for no apparent reason. Trailered his truck back to @theesotericone house and pulled is front drive train out. I think @Tetten bad luck has to run out at some point.

we need a documentary crew to go with us because we don’t stop to take pictures. These are all the photos I took.
