Would love everyones opinions and help in choosing my front bumper.

I've previously ordered my bumper from Addicted Offroad, but I think I'm gonna go down the kit route for the following reasons.

1.) Price
2.) Lead times (as my AoR bumper took 14 weeks to get delivered...)

Plans for the front:
Winch: SuperWinch 9500
Lights: 2x2 LED fog lights

This is the front of my rig at the moment for reference.

4x4Labs
I really like this 4x4Labs bumper but I'm a bit concerned with that winch clearance..... it kinda sticks out a bit and looks like an easy thing to smash on rocks during approach....

Has really good clearance and looks decent as well.

I like the coastal offroad one better. I am looking at their front and rear for my T4R

Yeah, there's a guy here locally in my area that got their front, rear and sliders and is super happy.

Basically, if you got basic welding skills and a weekend, you can save a ton of $$$ and have a killer armor setup.

One of my buddies looked at their set up and liked it. He is talking me into doing my own front and rear at a fraction of the cost. It will take longer and it requires parking the 4R but it's not my DD so it could happen. He is telling me that I can do it for about $600 front and rear.

I like the look of the 4x4 labs bumper but that winch looks like it kills the approach angle. Coastal seems like a good option and looks alright. Just looks a little boxy feeling, but I'm kinda biased because I'm not a huge fan of plate front bumpers. I wonder if the 4x4 Labs bumper can be modified to push the winch up and back further?

To expensive. For that much he can wiy front and rear.

He just needs to wait for a sale, then I'll go pick it up for him and we'll figure a place to meet. I got my front bumper single hoop non powder coated for ridiculously cheap a couple years ago.

I've not seen anyone modify their 4x4labs yet, so I'm not sure. but yes, i had the same concern about the approach angle.

Looks so easy to smash that winch plate in. I can totally see it getting smashed in when going downhiill on rocky slopes.

@4runner DOA If I can find someone selling a good bumper for cheap, i'll jump on the deal. Given that I've got a lift and a MIG welder on hand, I'm pretty determined just to do all the welding myself.

Yeah no doubt. I was looking at the wiy kits before I got the deal on my demello. Helps that they're only like 20 miles away.

I’m impressed with that Coastal front bumper aesthetic also - the filler parts under the headlamps work pretty well visually.

How are the recovery points constructed? Some of their other bumpers just stack plates to achieve mass for the D-rings.

Hmm, good question regarding the recovery points.

I'll message and ask them about that.

Anything else I should ask while I'm at it ?

@eimkeith I found a closer picture of it, but here's the recovery point.
By the looks of it, its just a hole in the 3/8 steel

From their info section:
"•Integrated 3/8″ thick clevis mounts maximize clearance and allow the use of ¾” D-Rings"
