How do you carry tools and spares?

Shitty old pic but here is the hi-lift mount I made, and the box I use for spare parts and tools. It’s a Husky box that has wheels. It pretty much stays in the 4runner at all times. Everything is always strapped down on day trips, but on overnighters, the sleeping gear and clothes backs are usually just tossed in the back since they can’t hurt anyone if they fly forward.

I dig that hi-lift mount. I had considered doing something like that, with the hi-lift mounted to the top instead of the inbd side, with a spare tire carrier on the inbd side. Then I realized that would take up half of the cargo area.

I still might use the sonoran steel hilift mounts I bought a while back, but then I'd have to move my fire extinguisher, and I'm kinda lazy.
