If you want, sure!

I thought it would be cool to NMO mount through the roof for the ham antenna. It worked dope - had great range.

Until I drove into the garage and forgot the antenna was still screwed on.

This did not fuckin work.

Eventually I stopped taking fucking pictures and managed to get a fuckin nut galled onto the fuckin bolt before it was totally flat. So, with the headliner still down, and unable to remove it from inside the truck or put it back up, I drove to AVID in Queen Creek with the fucking headliner resting on my head where Brandon helped me unfuck the bolt out of the hole and we used a differnt bunch of washers, RTV a nut and a bolt to make a little fuckin R2-D2 droid for the roof of the truck.

Then I drilled a new NMO into the roof behind the first one, and promptly drug it across a low hanging branch.

We now use a mag mount on the hood like a fuckin unicorn.

Well, I guess that kills my plans on roof mounting my antenna. I guess I'll stick to my mag mount.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Def doing a big trick tab on my bed rack.

If I decide to hard mount I'll just go off the rear bumper and get a longer antenna. I've knocked my mag mount over quite a few times on branches and it's just easier to not give a fuck vs worry about it ripping my roof wide open.

The worst I have done so far is strip the drain plug threads on my Raptor (quad). It's a common issue because the aluminum case is thin but I just turned the wrong way but it never felt like it got really tight.

THAT'S how you take those things out?!

I never knew they were bolted in. Never took one out before either though.

Yep. That's how they come out.

I had a thought the other day. Shocking I know. After you had the "misfire" issue with your rig in gear did you ever put a multi-meter on the battery? Here's my current guess. You killed the alt. Your battery had enough power to idle but not enough to accelerate or hold load. Running on just the battery will cause the symptoms you had.

So, before you do anything else, replace the fuse and charge the battery. Once you get the truck started put a multi-meter on the battery and let me know what your voltage is. I think your fuel system might be fine.

Well I already replaced the fuel filter and pump yesterday, so if that doesn't do it, it could be the alternator. It was making some whining noise a couple months ago. And my battery hasn't been holding a charge well lately either. You may be on to something here.

Not sure if serious. Not that impressive of a picture.

There are a lot of other things I’d spend my money on than a Raptor. I could buy a 4400 car for that cost.
Right?! Saw one in contingency at KOH, had a for sale sign on it, $45k I believe

Don't cross your fingers. Put a multi-meter on it and find out for sure. I give it a 50/50 at this point. OK maybe 60/40. lol
Yeah, so I replaced the 120A alternator fuse, hooked up the jumper cables (the right way this time!) and it turns over, but doesn't fire. Can't tell if its a fuel issue or an ignition issue. Gonna pull a fuel line tonight and see if there is any fuel pressure. If I'm getting fuel, I'll check to see if I'm getting any spark.

it was running fine before you blew the fuse wasn't it? and you had already replaced the fuel pump and filter. Id go straight to checking for spark.
