I have seen a lot of roof top tents that reside full time on rigs around here, also roto packs, high lift jacks etc, I see these damn things daily. I did ask one person who I see every time I am out what is with the tent, I see you here EVERY Monday, it must be awesome to camp every weekend! They put down their giant cup of Starbucks and blinked dumbly at me and "stammerd of hell no! it is too fucking cold to camp out here, it's a roof top tent and it is not meant to be installed and removed..." I had no words, just an ok hun, if you say so, was just curious. Then he wanted to tell me all about his stuff.

I know what you need. A trip to Alabama Hills to get some good Instagram shots and break in your new skottle. That or a Snickers lol

I fucking hate Snickers. I do need to condition the scottle my wife got me for Xmas though. I'll meet you in the hills in a few hours. I need to stop by the mall and get a Starbucks Vente White Chocolate Mocha fist. You want anything? lol

go buy this book and thank me when you’re sleeping solid through the night.
My 9mo old goes down at 1930 and doesn’t wake up until 0630 every day.
it’s been like that since he was about 4 or 5 months old.

2 hours on everyday for a week
yeah, it’s going to be hard for a few weeks.

Agree with the Irish settlers but still I’ve had 6 pairs of redwings, not one of them lasted over 6 months.
Got some timberland pros last year, they’ve been the best boot I’ve tried so far. Comfortable from the get go and didn’t start falling apart till 11 months

I wheel with people that have similar goals and mind sets.

@AssBurns because he gets after it and can weld better then me.

@Tetten because he gets after it harder then me and can wrench as well as me.

@Hank because he gets after it and might have more tools then me.

@4runner DOA because he tries to get after it and always has beer when I run out.

@Mike_taco4x4 because pinwheels and he's a funny fucker.

Why you guys wheel with me I have no clue. I enjoyed wheeling alone for years before you guys herded me in. lol
Because the same reason we wheel with Andy and Kyle.
I don't need a fridge for beer it is in the high 20's can just store it on the porch ;) I need to drag the Tundra into the garage and finish some shit before I stick the 35's on (won't clear once I put them on)
Now I am looking for some advice, I want something else to beat up a bit, my budget is under 10K for purchase and what I need to make it reliable off road. We don't have much in the way of crawling here a few area's most off road is tight area's between trees (we do have stumps we can crawl over, some desert area to the east, beaches to the west, and a few malls. Work slows down over the winter, I will work on the house a bit, but will hire some out. So suggestions are welcome.
3rd or 1st gen 4runner depending on how much space and comfort you want.

Congrats! I felt the same way at first (I was also 21 years old) but once you get to see and hold your kid, your life just changes and starts to revolve around them. It doesn’t change in a bad way, it just changes and you change with it. In a year from now you’ll have a whole new perspective on life. Just don’t let having a kid stop you from having fun. I see many people just stop the fun things in life when they have kids. It’s okay to still have fun.
Nope. I can't stand the word. Look back in some early threads from this site and you'll see I told @AssBurns that before he decided to use the word.

I push my ifs rig as hard as I can in the rocks. Compared to a purpose built buggy my rigs a joke. Which is why my next rig will be a buggy.
:anon:
Nobody had any better suggestions so I just left it.

Totally.worth it. She'll be crazy for the next 3 years (around the kid's 3rd birthday you get your wife back).

As someone who thought he had life sorted pre-kids: you're right,.your life is over, but the new one is much better.
