We should have a leader board. Most days with the truck not in the garage or field repaired. I've got 4 trials without a breakage going currently. Which means I'm way overdue for something major to happen. lol
Mine is down fro driving to work, not wheeling. That’s the worst part.
I can’t even remember what I broke last.

Didn't you have to weld up a LBJ fairly recently? lol

Did you find a fuse?
Replaced the fuse and it turns over fine but it doesn’t start. EFI fuse looks good, and I can hear the fuel pump buzzing away. Note sure the deal. Gonna pull a fuel line tomorrow and see if it is actually pumping fuel now.

I guess everyone bailed on this unplanned wheeling weekend. Luckily I plan on wheeling solo. It's dumping rain in Bishop right now so I'll just point the rig towards the Sierra and see how shitty it gets. Buttermilks Loop should be getting plenty of snow right now.

@Tetten @AssBurns @4runner DOA Hope you guys get some stuff figured out and get back on the road soon.

Well, while you gents where busy fixing things, or sitting on the couch, I was busy finding things. There's an area of the Tungstens that I have never been in so I went to check it out. I just sort of followed a few not so traveled trails and found this gem. I'd rate the section by this sign as moderate but whatever. lol

Been running around handling stuff in the rain. Spent the rest of my time playing video games. Odessa is like 3 weeks away, I'll be ready.

Well I couldn't find my problem (initial problem). I replaced the fuse, and it turned over and it didn't fire. So I checked fuses again and realized I put a fuse for the EFI in the wrong in the cab. It fired right up after, but it still had a misfire. So next thing I check is spark. Plugs fired up no problem. Then I checked the MAF. That didn't help. So cleaned the throttle body and boy was it dirty! I cleaned that and the IAC Valve. That definitely helped something, but it still had the same misfire. No fucking clue what's going on.

Pull your ecu and make sure all the wires are clean and there's no corrosion. Hit them with some electrical cleaner. The misfire started after you were romping through water. Double check all your grounds too. Could just be one is loose.

Oh, and if it's anything like my 4th gen, since your battery was dead and everything has been disconnected, you might need to reset your idle. Make sure the battery is fully charged, make sure all accessories are off, ac/defroster is off, and then let it idle for about 15 mins.

Yeah I might have to come back to the ECU. Very weird how it's acting.

Is it throwing any new codes?
GOt some misfire codes finally. Still not sure what the deal is. Might try replacing the spark plug wires. It think I got some cheaper ones when I replaced them a few years ago.

Did you replace the coil packs already? What's odd is the misfires are on different coil packs. Cylinder 3 misfire wouldn't be wire related because it's directly off the coil.

Exactly. I can't determine the exact issue. Might be worth replacing the coil packs though. I think I have another one somewhere at my dads house I can use to test.

does your fuel pump have enough power to supply enough fuel? could be leaning it out...
I’d think so. I guess I can check. It’s sounds like it’s running fine by the amount of noise coming from it. Still sounds like it’s getting plenty of power.

Wonder if the O2 sensor could be bad. I ditched the downstream sensor since it’s for EVAP purposes, but the upstream sensor could be bad?
