Great addition. Made a big difference for me.
trying to get rid of all the important shit that's made of plastic. not gonna go bouncing around with some half-bakealite radiator. cooling is always nice. prolly gonna beef up the trans cooler too.

I had a plate type trans cooler fail on me( B&M iirc).
Had a pinhole from somewhere in the middle.
Trying a tube and fin this time.

Does the RCV outer CV use the same shaft as a stock? Or did they make a birfield for a 30 spline or some other spec?

i don't know if it'll fit in the garage with 37s lol

37 is a lot of tire this truck is not set-up to handle...yet. Still on stock rear axle. Will get a 9" after breaking the stock or finding a good deal.

Gotta pace myself unless the labs come back with bad news then its spend it like I won the lottery. Fucking getting old sucks. Mid life health scare + falling apart ....the usual bs.

Stock axle will handle 37s just fine.

Problem is ECGS only warranties up to 35" tires. Think my warranty is up in 2021. Maybe 2022. Can't remember when I blew everything up.

Why not save the money and get a 9" now instead of investing in things twice, and losing money since you can't sell broken parts.
Stock axle will handle 37s just fine.
What are you talking about? Stock axle can barely handle 35's "just fine".

If you baby it, it'll hold up to 37's, but "just fine" is not the way to describe the strength of an 8.4 axle on 37's.
Yeah I feel ya on the wife not wanting you to drop coin. My wife has been hounding me for the past year to get the backyard all fixed up and get a patio cover and more cement poured. Meanwhile I'm buying offroad parts that are just sitting in the garage waiting to be used. Plus if she really knew how much this LS swap is going to end up costing after it's all said and done, I don't think she would have approved lol.
My priorities are a little twisted lol, but I did just buy her a new (not brand new) car and replaced the fence. Things she's also been hounding me about for the past year.

Deposit In. 4.88 Nitro Gears and E Locker (front)
There's a delay in getting the lockers apparently, so expecting mid August for install :playball:

Leaves time for 35 tire research and hopefully some new LT goodness burned on.
