I tend to keep my knives sharp. Two sided stone my dad picked up years ago.

diamond hones are better than whetstone unless you have the good (expensive) japanese stones. wet sandpaper mounted on glass is exceptional for honing and polishing. diamond paste on leather for stropping

This stone is from the 80s or 90s. My dad used it on his knives, I'll continue to use it on mine.

I have a whetstone that I am assuming was brought back from Germany in WW2. Has a swastika on it. Really not sure. My grandpa had it and he wasn't a racist so I'm assuming the only reason it was kept was because it was actual Nazi German. I haven't looked into verifying if it's real though.

If it's as easy and quick as advertised, I'm willing to start an IFS knife sharpening service. You pay postage and I'll sharpen them for karma points. This would be good for knives that need to be reset or have knicks ground out.

send em! holy shit this thing is unreal. its easy and fast. the time from start to stropping is about 5min for a complete reset of the edge. put down 14k grit paste on the strop instead of 100k. I'm gonna make a 2nd strop for polishing the edges for showing off.

Sounds legit. Lemme know when you're not afraid of the rona anymore and I'll bring them by.

Ok. Game changer. Blew through all my pocket knives in about 2 hours. Paid for itself already. Found some leather belts for stropping...stay tuned. Kitchen knives next.

Wicked sharp edges. Not as good as really taking your time (hours) by hand on a whet or diamond hone but so much quicker to 99% for normal use edges. Set everything to 20° and stropped at 14k. Hit some of the blade faces with green on a buffing wheel...water and oil like it was a duck's back

I might have to take you up on this. I have a few blades that I’ve really neglected on keeping sharp. Now I’m just not looking forward to the time it’ll take to bring the edge back to razor sharp again.

Brown Santa dropped off the new hunting knife. Didn't really need it but wanted another fixed blade. Just need to find a molle type sheath for it as this one is a clip.

Those are nice! I have the Izula II and it's literally one of my favorite knives. I've been tempted to buy the Esee 3 or 4 many times but never did.

I picked up a Benchmade mini Bugout to replace my Rat Model 2. I love the axis lock on my mini Griptilian and wanted to upgrade my work knife. Only a couple colors available for the satin finished blade, so I grabbed the orange and will probably change out the scales later on since it’s freaking safety orange.

I like it so far. My only gripe is the color but I had either orange or white available at the time with this blade finish and the white was more expensive and I woulda replaced the scales on that too since white wouldn't fair well in a warehouse environment. OD green would have been a great choice too of they offered it in that.

Ordered a new knife last night. Been years since I bought a new one, and want to send my current knife back to Benchmade to go through it and clean it up. I need a replacement and I've always wanted a PM2 or Para 3. I opted for the smaller blade of the Para 3 since most stuff I need a blade for is likely going to appreciate better control of the shorter blade length. Also ordered a replacement deep carry clip for it since the stock pocket clip makes the blade sit way too high.

That’s a good looking knife. I also like that benchmade is 15 miles from my house

Seems like a perfect knife for a large majority of anything I want out of a knife. I actually prefer a shorter blade as long as the handle is comfortable, which this one seems to fit that bill.
Nice! Do you get locals only discounts? lol
