I'll be out there shooting photos, my truck has a huge ass four wheel camper on it right now so no wheeling for me. I'll be out there Thursday to Saturday if anyone wants to link up.

Have to keep an eye out for you. If you see a beat to shit 4th gen missing body panels and a ton of orange clips (couldn't find my blue clips) plugging holes on either side, that's me. Should be with a lifted blue 4th gen and @85straight in his 1st gen, maybe a black 2nd gen Tacoma.

Apparently the dumbfuck that I deal with in HQ wanted a baseline report for a new report I'm doing in 2019, before the 2019 reports start, but explicitly forgot to mention that in the email. So I got to just waste an hour whipping up some code to bust that out instead of wrapping up my January numbers.

Direct co-worker is remote today and boss is busy with the restructuring news, so I’ve finished my January updates and skating until I head home. Picking up a trailer in the morning and heading west.

These course maps suck. I have to use a program that I don't like using, and a map that is PDF based. I don't think I can share the map either. Gonna look more into is and try to share it here.

Yup, and the cost of $10 per map is shitty too. I'm hesitant on buying the maps for Thursday and Friday's races. I just got the EMC map.

Pretty sure the map I got is for Friday's race. Cartotrack doesn't look like it's going to be too bad because it should at least give me a dot on the map. Now whether that dot translates into the race course when I get closer to JV is anyone's guess. It's pretty fucking lame they don't just give us a gpx track. What's the harm in it?

Cartotrack does excellent at showing your location on the map live in relation to the course and marked areas.

Yes that map is supposed to show actual location once your actually in range of the area

I would just rather have the gpx file I can use as a layer in my usual app that has more detail and icons

Like @85straight said, a gpx track of the actual course is far more helpful than an overlay of this pdf map that you have to zoom way the fuck in to even see. I also have a better map system for the dirt trails with far more detail for California trails that I'd rather have this loaded in.

I couldn't agree more but I have too much work this week to take Thursday off and have plans for Saturday that I really can't push back.
