I think it's retarded you have to pay for the maps, how the fuck are you supposed to spectate without knowing where the course is? The maps should be pushed out to everyone for free and hand outs at hammertown, etc. to help keep the experience nicer and safer. Fucking $10 just for a one time map is fucking retarded.
I agree, last year was just that, guessing where the hell the course was and using common sense. Thought to myself, this sucks but fuck it it’s only $10. Really wish I could just overlay it on my usual app

Last year before dropping into backdoor going across the lakebed, there was 5 or 6 Jeeps going backwards straight down the course. I honestly think they just had no idea where they were going, or at least where the track actually was, because it wasn't emphasized and made obvious to stay off the course and how to know where the course was. Course it was all wide open so we saw them aways away and there was room to maneuver, but still really sketchy when you're doing 60mph (and we were slow relatively speaking) and you're passing between two trucks hauling ass in the opposite direction.

Haha same shit happened to me , we were on the course but like I said common sense goes a long way. Looking at the tracks and ruts in the turns we quickly pulled off to the side. Then we had a private show of the trucks passing by

We get a free download iirc, though last year I couldn't figure out how the fuck to make it work so just bought it on LeadNav.

I'll have to see what comes out and see if I can get an overlay of it done up in basecamp. Might be doable.

That is even better. I grew up with a mother who is a pathological liar and hated it so much, to the point where I am brutally honest and always make my intentions clear.

Sad thing is he's only there every other weekend but I have to diffuse him every Sunday afternoon because even though she's sober she's still a shitty parent.

Is everybody ready for KOH? What prep do you have left?

I only need an engine oil change and to take out my rear 3rd to have the seals replaced in the ARB. Yotamasters said I need to hurry if I want it done in time. And a few minor things.

There's usually a basic course paper map for the public that's included with the welcome packet that they give you when you pay for the spectator wrist band.

CartoTracks is selling a very basic course map (for spectator use) that is a downloadable file for use in a GPS device
