The LCA tabs on the Taco frame are a fucking joke, the alignment tabs are even worse; not even mall rated. The alignment cams are assembled dry, so they will corrode and seize if you get them wet, or drive them on salty winter roads. Then when you hit a pot hole you'll flatten the alignment tab, and not be able to adjust the alignment without an oldschool offroad guy who knows how to do alignments with a frame straightening rack.

I fucked mine up on stock everything due to winter roads and hitting a largish pothole.

Those Marlin gussets are a fantastic idea, and should be one of the first mods for any Taco.

While you're in there grease the shit out of the alignment cams...

That would explain why someone suggested liberal use of antisieze on those things.

Since some of you guys are of the more aggressive variety off road, this seems like a good place to ask the question. I've seen this reinforcement in a couple of places and wondered what kind of abuse the truck can take before you whack the tabs for the alignment cams.

Opinions or experiences?
This is a cool kit! I was looking at it (and Total Chaos kit) for my Tacoma after I flatten my front alignment tabs. In the end because of lack of wait time (it's my DD), I had pieces of steel bar welded in place so the alignment could have been set. Might have to revisit MC idea though.

As for alignment bolts; YES, it's a great advice to use antiseize. Mine had to be cut out after less than two years in NY.

If its 4runner compatible its getting got.
Since that kit allows you to adjust your LCAs forward for my tire clearance it should be, the difference between the T4R and the Taco LCA is the length of the bushings and possibly the diameter of the LCA bolts.

Don't think there's a difference between the 4th gen and 2nd gen taco for the LCA. We'll find out soon enough when I try to put these lowers on.

I went through the Toyota online parts on both the Tacoma and the 4Runner and compared part # for the front end. The only thing that I remember being different part # was the spindle. Uppers lowers same.
