I took my third member with an arb air locker out last week and sent it back to ECGS. I cleaned the axle housing this afternoon getting it ready to put the third member back in when I get it back.

I found this in the bottom of the axle housing. They are tiny I got my finger in for scale . Anybody know what they are are where they go?

I was racking my brain trying to figure out WTF. This is the 4th time I have pulled the third member and never found any before

Not technically locker related, but I'm thinking about pulling my rear 8" third member and tightening the carrier bearing preload. Was going to check backlash while I was in there. Any tips or thoughts on that? Anecdotally I've heard the 8"s fail from ring deflection and that it's a good idea to tighten that up in older diffs.
