The current setup is probably landcruiser 7.5s with I think a 10" shock. Got -12mm offset wheels that clear in the rear with no wheel spacers. With 1.5" wheel spacers it looks like i have 3.5" of clearance from inner sidewall to frame. So I think i need to completely notch the frame to clear the 2.0 coils. I have a piece of 2x6 c channel screaming at me to just slap it in there...

The plan at moment for rear glass would be to use the stock limited flares to build off of. Which is another reason i dont want to mess with the wheel well contours if its not really worth it.

In a previous life I worked with composites. Building molds, vacuum bagging, resin infusing. Still have all my stuff in storage. So its not that bad to make custom parts. I have a front clip from the 2.5 gen tundra that im going to piece in. The lines from the front will dictate what the flares in rear will look like.

So cbechtold isnt the only one posting truck shit on here...

I moved out of my long time shop and now have a $30k pile of gravel to work on in my yard. I never dreamed how fun costco tents, rocks, and torrential rain could be when trying to build shit.

Anyway, heres some stuff:

I Left this pile of apparant gold called aggregate in my yard as a clearance tester. Note the getto af bumb extensions so I could go camping without feeding my car to the rear tires. Does anyone else need like a half in longer bump on passenger rear?

Im not sure if I should chop the body for clearance. Does anyone know exactly how much more up travel you get by choppy chopping?

Have To gotta do a new rear bumper. Going to go with eimkeiths but... I have plans to go wider with Bodywork/ fenders. Would it be easy to widen keiths bumper to match the wider fenders later? I would almost even want to use the outter lip of bumper as a side step for loading shit on the roof. Any experience/ thoughts would be appreciated.

So the real reason for all this shit is to measure clearance under here. Note the year old blown rancho9000s. EXTREME!

Figured some notchy notchy right round here would be good for

Here are pics of mine flexed out hopefully it can help. I would guess my tires may compress about 1.5” more when flexed hard tucked into the fender. The fenders are trimmed and made so the tires can kinda tuck up inside them. I think it is worth it as long as your rear end is skinny enough it will tuck under the body without too much work.

The yokos on the polished beadlocks are 37s and the pitbull rockers are 35s so different sizes in different pics.

This picture is no springs in the rear sitting on the bump stops with its full weight.

My problem is I have to go wider to clear shocks so theres no way the tire will tuck. I guess im just trying to convince myself its not worth chopping up the rear body... I think the reality is i should...

I didn't think about that. those tucked pics are a true 12.5 wide tire at the tread, -12 offset and 1.25 spacer. You may be able to still tuck with a bit wider axle and 0 offset wheel.

Better option is get you bump stops as far outside of the frame as possible so you can get good travel straight up and down but when it flexes out it doesn’t try to tuck the tire so much higher. I am far from the body with both sides in bump but one side dropped one bumped I am all in the body.
