Me too. The Tacoma has been due for suspension work for awhile so it should drive like a whole new truck when we're done.

it's like once you start it never ends though. I think the important thing is to figure out the end goal and build to that. I learned a lot of lessons with my 3rd gen 4r.

I have the 4runner for 4wd, technical wheeling, and overlanding trips.

The Tacoma will be mostly desert and gofast since it's 2wd and lighter. I wouldn't even be doing half this shit if these guys didn't hook me up with such great deals on the parts, but it'll do to make it more comfortable off road for the time being and keep some wear and tear off the more expensive 4runner parts.

Eventually, it's gonna get a 4 link and long travel, but that's quite a few years off.

How much for those tc links? They work on a 5th gen I’m assuming

Ebay imitation TC links. I bent a lower and the panhard. Never used the uppers because they had the wrong bushing sleeve for the upper bolt, but I did end up using the rod ends and bushings when I revamped the lowers before they got bent. Besides being scrap metal I really just need to toss them.

from my research the uppers are fine anyways stock. Rebuild the bushings and keep goin. The lowers are definitely suspect to getting bent. Some thin wall tubing lol

Uppers help fix the pinion angle if you're moving your axle around, but for the most part yeah I pretty much ran stock uppers until I got my metal tech uppers.
