This is my first time running duals, so don't flame me too hard for not knowing this stuff, or do, whatever.

So I know everyone loves Marlin, woo. That's all nice and fine and good, etc. But the install instructions on their website blow giant balls, just sayin.

Anyways, I have the MC31 Tacoma to gear drive case adapter ready to go in, and I have questions. Like, TrailGear's instructions have you remove the rear support bearing from the transmission tail-housing (auto trans), is this also necessary with the Marlin version? Also there is a hole that seems to me would allow oil to pass into the transmission tail-housing, what gives? Is that just the way its supposed to be (TG version doesn't seem to have this feature)? Also, why?

Anywhoozle, just trying to get un-dumb here, this is my first time setting up duals or adapting them to the Taco/Runner Auto trans.

I didn't remove the rear support bearing. It's not necessary in my eyes. The hole that allows fluid to pass through into the transmission tail housing is there to help store a little more fluid. Accord to Inchworm, more fluid means cooler temps. Especially on the highway since those gears heat up fast. I use straight 90w gear fluid and it's still a tad warm on the trans tunnel.
