3-ply? Fuck that noise. That might last me 20 minutes into a trip.

I was happy that I just got a set of 285/75/16 Falken Wild Peak AT3 E rating for $180 each, mounted and balanced. I will probably go with their MT’s when it’s time for a new set of 35’s.

My sidewalks have been just fine. Took my training wheel size tires off a while ago. And they get used. Sidewalls are in a lot better shape than my beadlock rings.

All the tires with strong sidewalls have a 3-ply sidewall, when manufacturers say 10-ply, they mean the sidewall and underlying the tread. typically 3-ply side and 7-ply supporting tread.

It was my understanding that the 10 ply was the tread ply, but all sidewalls are 3 ply. I've only had one issue with my km2s and it was on a fucking fire road. Caught something in the inside firewall and punctured one.

I just bought (and received) 4 for $145 shipped each from Amazon. Can't believe it.
Here I am trying to figure out what to get next that's not a MT, but those prices aren't making it easy to ignore. Kinda tired of the droning on long trips. My km2s are loud as fuck.

Ridge Grapplers are quiet and hook up pretty damn well. I'm debating getting another set of 17" rims so I can put my old ones on the Taco. Or sell them and get 285/75/16's for the Taco. Or get beadlocks for my rig then put my current rims on the Taco with the Ridge Grapplers. It's not an easy call. lol
