That’s about 100k

I'm pretty sure I could make money building them from aftermarket parts for 100K each.

My '93 Nissan Truck had a 1/2 ton axle, fully boxed frame and an inline 4 banger. It would not be hard to make a 3rd gen sized truck as bullet proof as the first gen taco or old hilux.

It also wouldn't have been very hard to make the FJ Cruiser a convertible and kill the Wrangler market, but they didn't listen to me about that either.

Nah, V8 is too heavy for a modern vehicle. The Raptors did the right thing with the EcoBoost V6. Great power and less weight. The seem to be pretty solid on reliability too.

That being said, I am putting a V8 in the BeerRunner... :deadbanana:

didnt they go back to a V8 because the Ram TRex?

I think they did because all the V8 fanbois were mad that the 2nd gen didn't have a V8 option. I don't think it had a whole lot to do with the TRex. Coulda had some influence, but I think Ford wanted to listen to their customers and deliver what they wanted for the past few years.

Ran a Bronco Badlands this week during a demo they had. Will say they are much comfier than my 20+ year old 3rd gen 4runner. But also didn't enjoy driving it as much. It performed no better on 35's than my 3rd on 33's although it has a 10 speed auto to my 4 speed auto which was nice for low range and crawling...

so plan to do some dual cases and manual swap my 3rd so I can still give them Bronco boys the fingers out at Fordyce

picked this up yesterday after 18 months wait. Badlands Sasquatch, 2.7 eccoboost, 10 speed auto, 4.7 axle gears, tow, soft top. locked front and rear, Velocity Blue. This will be my daily driver that can pretty much go lots of places that aren't paved.
