Picked up a set of used LC coils from a local 3rd gen owner, they are a bit rusty and some of the paint is flaking off

Years ago I bought some rusty “99 talls” and repainted with VHT roll bar & chassis paint. Never again. If you can economically blast & powdercoat, that’s the way to go. The paint doesn’t hold up well on coils even with good prep.

Powder coat will just chip and flake eventually too.

Spring steel doesn't give a damn about the wee bit of rust that develops anyway.

Spend your money on more useful things than powder coating used coils.
