Hey I'm James. Looking to get some advice on roof top tents and how to mount a hi-lift on my hood and which tires are the best and where to plug in my light bar, and you all seem like a patient and helpful lot :flipoff:

Seriously though, cool forum. Here's my rig for making coffee runs and hauling shit home from pottery barn:

When I got my wife a new rig in January we had it narrowed down to the GX or a 4th Gen 4runner. I used every trick in the book to try and sway her towards the GX. I really wanted that damn V8. She wanted the gas savings of the V6. I lost and we now own a very nice 2009 V6 4Runner. lol

Thanks guys. I promise to keep the mall crawling to a minimum and try and break stuff instead. I'm in NorCal if anyone local wants to wheel.

Hi :wavehi:, interesting place you have here.
My name is Seb, and I live in NY. I drive a 3rd Gen Tacoma with a few bolt on mods, and plastidip :anon:...

Nope, not an overlander. Learning how to work and do stuff on the truck by myself, just not quite ready to cut and weld it just yet. I'll try not to ask stupid questions often.
Not many places to wheel around my ways, but I do try to get out to some off road parks in Pa (and NJ) whenever time permits.

Now time to hang out, BS and learn what you can. Just try searching before starting new threads, and for the love of god please don't ask questions about plastidip, stock skid plates, or fitting 285's.

I didnt post in here the other day when i created an account. My name is Nick, I was on TW since 2010-2011. Ive owned a 2nd gen tacoma, and am on my 2nd 3rd gen. Left TW because im looking for a place that is better than it was when i first joined. All the fucking prima donnas with 3rd gens, and general clickiness of the fucking place really has made it terrible. The moderators there make the place shitty as well. I enjoy being around adults. Not stupid fucks,

My current vehicle is a 2018 tacoma, with cbi sliders, bedrack, mobtown steel skids with exhaust reroute, demello offroad front bumper with smittybuilt 10k syn. have an ome lift with 886s and 255 85 16 st maxxs. The type of wheeling I do is hard to describe. Ive been to sleepy creek WV 2 times in this truck, flagpole a bunch of times, and random places in VA on private property. I live up on a mountain in VA, kinda a West coast hill , so most of my stuff has really been done to continue to live up there in shitty weather/ flooding at the bottom. i plan eventually to do a mid travel kit with kings, and 5.29 gears, then 315s.

Hey all, my name's Ethan!

I think I made this account a few months ago, but totally spaced that I had done so until now. So I guess it's better late than never for an introduction, lmao.
I'm based in central/southern New Mexico and I've fairly recently become the owner of a 5th gen 4runner (yeah, the minivan gen). So far it just has the basic stuff: a lift, sliders, and skids. This summer I'm planning on making some simple front and rear bumpers to ditch all the ugly plastic and gain some much needed ground clearance.
The vehicle I learned to wheel in was my dad's 2000 Nissan Xterra that I installed ARB lockers and 5.13's on. I really dig rock crawling, and have definitely found that Moab is my favorite place to wheel.
Ultimately, I'm interested in this forum since all the forums I've found with 5th gen owners almost never have any people who really wheel their stuff. As such, I'm hoping I can get some good insight from people who actually wheel their ifs Yotas, and not some guys whose staple mods are plastidip and fridges!

Here are some pics of both vehiclesIMG_3748.jpgIMG_4578 (1).jpg
