It's not difficult at all. You just rip out the POS Multi-Mode case and put a standard J-shift in. Bolts and adapter patterns are the same.
I was looking at that option, it's down the road a ways but transmissions scare the shit of me, those AAMCO commercials must have gotten to me with the "thousands of moving parts don't fucking touch it" line. Typically in these scenarios I drink enough Jameson to kill a horse and then start ordering parts, and then am left with no choice but to go for it.

U don't have to mess with ur transmission, only ur transfer case like theesotericone said, the transmissions found on ur rig are not hard to work on. If u find urself in a position to get one cheap u should tear to apart to remove some of the mystery...

When I looked into the atlas recently one of their distributors told me Advance Adapters told them 11:70 was no longer available, maybe I was given wrg info, thats why I posted 10:34 as their lowest

Howdy, y'all... new here, been banned everywhere else for bashing libtards. I believe I hold the national record for getting banned, but I notice that the former mods all leave my photos & stories up, lol. Got a few good pics & stories to share, I reckon I'll test a link first to see if it comes through... you mods here, I'm no spammer or shill, any link I post is to my own adventure pics or stories. And of course I'll share any new adventures with y'all, you strike me as the kind who'd appreciate tales of adventure. Moi, I live for that shit, it's better than dwelling on fraudulent politics & crime, lol.

Now, I currently live here in scenic southeastern Arizona, not far from Tombstone & Cochise Stronghold, but I spent most of my life on the beach in the Socialist Republik of KaliMexifornia. My best friend's family owned & operated the first surf shop in Coronado for over three decades, but I'm more of an old school vertical skateboarder, technical rock climber & extreme small craft sailor. I'm also a former OTR truck driver, so I have some classic photos and stories to share, the stories are generally hilarious due to my own... er... non-PC perspective.

Anyway, here's a link to a spam-free site where I posted a few pictures, it'll be easier than trying to repost all those pics here... note the truck camping shots taken in places where a road tractor does NOT belong, lol. Truth be told, a 10-ton road tractor makes a pretty poor offroad vehicle, but one can hit the power divider and cruise out to certain wilderness locations without too much trouble, taking care to avoid deep sand or ruts. Getting back to this old thread in the link, there are two sets of photos per page, just scroll between the sets to see the pics pronto... nice shots in there too, you'll dig 'em, lol.

That'll do for starters, reckon I'll begin a separate thread somewhere at this site for posting up some pics & stories... some of the stories were published in the San Diego Reader back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, lol, but others are unpublished blog versions of classic tales of adventure. I actually wrote a book with at least 35 chapters in five parts, each chapter being a tale of adventure... the island trilogy is the centerpiece of my book, all about sailing a 14' Laser to Los Coronados off the northern end of Baja. Grand adventures, those voyages, some of the best times of my life...

WELL, LEMME POST THIS AND SEE IF THE LINK WORKS... I'LL BE BACK LIKE A BAD RASH TO PLAGUE Y'ALL, LOL. CHEERS!!! :smash:

P.S. I went by 'Railsplitter' at the site in that link, my handle from my "trucking daze"---it had NOTHING to do with Abe Lincoln either, I assure you, lol. I'm going with 'Sidewinder' here at this site, it's the handle I normally use in all dirt biking forums (prior to banishment), as I like getting sideways in the dirt. That also holds true for 4-wheelers, but I'm known to sling a dirt bike around like so much hash... it's what I do for fun, lol. Of course, I DID bash my knee pretty hard while eating shit on Rim Road 300 in the White Mountains... going insanely fast round a curve and wiping out, lol. Meh, these things happen.
